Well, Howdy, Miss Belinda.
I am Rob, Pangie’s hearthrob.
Her TV is tuned to Waco,Texas!

To watch Trump in satisfaction.
That mensch, is who he is!
That’s her next POTUS in action.

Though the Left wants him in traction.
She admires his integrity.
Won’t bend to Woke Satisfaction!

15,000 of all colors in attendance!
We all raise our glasses high.
To America, to have a rebirth of abundance

Best wishes,
Rob, Newscaster

Premium MemberIt Weren't Worth Texas

It was dusty, dry and endless
Stretched beneath an empty sky
From horizon to horizon
Where the turkey buzzards fly,
Like a landscape meant to warn you
Just how far a man can fall.
Except for Ruby in El Paso,
Hell, it weren’t worth Texas at all.

Took a powder in Fort Stockton.
Crossed the Pecos makin’ time.
San Antone gave way to Austin
On the Travis County line.
Shot a rattlesnake in Waco
With my back against the wall.
Except for Bobbi-Jo in Beaumont,
Hell, it weren’t worth Texas at all.

I’ve seen Lubbock and Laredo,
Seen Odessa/Midland, too.
Met a sweet young thing in Brownsville,
Just another déjà vu.
Didn’t tell her I was leaving,
But I promised her I’d call.
Except for Emmylou in Houston,
Hell, it weren’t worth Texas at all.

Learned to do the Stockdale two-step
In the local Lone Star style.
Danced a Galveston fandango
With a Corpus Christi smile.
Set a sucker up in Dallas,
But my partner dropped the ball.
Except for Jill in Amarillo,
Hell, it weren’t worth Texas at all.

Bounce and Boogie

Findlay Wooster, he told me
he was, a world famous
Producer. We started Date-em
My intisipation he would be
true. He introduced me to
Goneil Lago, a chelloust from
"Mix and Waco" the bank thats
always on the tele. I was so
excited and kinda delighted
he winked and knodded at me.
Clever conversations while we
were dating, concerts, and
theatrics to see. We went for
suppa at linzzrys, he started
acting stingy, order one plate
and split it while me. We had
ah quarrel and Tiff, he said I
had a fit, and he would be
delighted if I'd leave him be.
Well that's when I meet Gaffa
a pleasant forever after, Gaffa
makes me feel like a queen.
I sang a ditty on his single,
he said I was very special,
 that's when Gaffa proposed
to me!

Watch Your Thoughts

In high school, Steward had started thinking
of his gloomy future and Abraham Lincoln.
who said, "Predict your future; create it."
His heart cried, "Wyoming and me - not related."

Abe lived in three states before he became
prez. There's a whole world out there to claim,
who needs a family and farm near Cheyenne?
Stew loved the idea of being his own man.

Pulled up roots, headed to the heart of Texas
and Waco, a hundred bucks as his nexus...
Money he'd stolen from dad, like back pay;
he had a faint hope to pay him back some day.

Steward spent one night talking to David Koresh;
he claimed to believe but this new light was fresh.
Rubbing the mist from his eyes (lonesome for home),
first look at the compound, it whispered, "Shalom!"

He had a new calling - leader in "God's Army"
and wrote grandma, "Weapons make me feel barmy."
She penned back, "Just pray." (He knew what she'd say.)
God "drove" him t'wards Wyoming the very next day.

Saved By the System In Waco

The real clues
are in the cobweb scraps
dropped by
hapless bronze birds
that will never
feed again

The children
are all there
in little specks of
brittle hopes in
black pieces
in the dirt

Their lives were
spilt like milk
from the inside out

They lie there in
pools of sprinkler water
collected where it lay

Running down
heat bleached
wet white concrete walls
where globes of fire
all yellow and red
and hissing
danced in circles
around and around

Huddled in terror
they did not know
it was sent
so lovingly
to purify and protect
from some self-appointed
head of grace
of the fallen state

That hollow blessing
melted cosmetics
into the prom pictures
that would never
be taken

Now crisp nylon khakis
march over remnants of
pennyloafers threads and belts
over scattered salt
strewn like stars

Ah, but the young
Republicans are happy
those tales of children
are not about them
and theirs

The news stories
are not about them
the fortunate few
that are unlimited by
some well written
blessed law
to help only those
that are no
longer there

Ode To Humphrey

The"tail" I have to tell, starts off really sad.
My sweet doggie Murphy died and my heart, it hurt so bad.
Until one day in early spring, I got a call that made my heart sing!
There were some puppies born in Waco, the daddy -Jasper, and mommy- Juneau.
Four little boys, three little girls. But the picture of one boy, made my heart twirl!
So I waited for a week or two, to meet my little puppy-oh so new!
I named him Humphrey, such a handsome boy! He has brought laughter back and oh what a joy! He's super cute, and very smart. Many would say, he's a work of art!
He's learning new tricks, and how to potty outside. So many rules to learn and abide!
Humphrey is growing so quickly, the puppy breath will soon disappear. He will be an adult in less than a year! Every stage of his life is a blessing from above. I guess that's the true meaning of what we call "puppy love".
