RETRIBUTION’S TIME AGAIN
A change is coming;
Injustice will be leaving:
We will be voting:-
It’s now time for us:
Emancipation over
Evil oppression:-
Many died for voting rights:
Let us keep justice alive.
Time now for a peaceful civil engagement,
Guaranteeing peacefully won equality.
You can not buy back emancipation;
But votes can win its restoration
Without a tooth for a tooth,
Nor an eye for an eye:-
VOTES VERSUS MONEY
(SIX HAIKU REFLECTIONS)
Our minority,
Is as poor as poor is:
Theirs are just as rich
Don’t beg me money.
Know that my vote is priceless:-
Lives lost getting it:-
Thus beg for my vote,
In winning democracy:
Money can’t buy it:-
Our minority
Will continue to support
Getting out the vote.
Begging for the vote,
Will get more support than the
Begging for money.
Our democracy
Can’t be purchased with money:
Seek votes to win it:-
Voted for politicians,
Get blind ambitions.
More and more US politicians are talking openly of Jesus.
Fewer and fewer people in the US are going to church.
Fewer and fewer people are thinking about how He sees us.
More and more politicians leave us in the lurch.
It's sacrilege to question someone else's faith...
when we can't see into their heart.
It's sacrifice to question our own motive...
when we can't see past the tiniest part.
It's opportunism to turn the world upside down...
and hold the Word upside down.
It's opportunity ev'ry time it comes 'round...
ev'ry two or four years to turn things around.
IN WISE VOTING AWARENESS
Surviving wisely,
Likewise, cast priceless votes:
Reclaiming justice-
Voting power is more powerful
Than mongering injustice:-
More trials lie ahead,
Let’s prepare to overcome:
Victories acquired:-
Yes, most changes do take time:
Conquering time awaits us:-
Present, wise voting
Paves the way for coming change:
Wise voting winning:-
Let not elections be bought;
But won by free priceless votes:-
FRATERNAL POLITICAL PARTY AWARENESS
When it comes to you and me,
Be aware of the chosen political party:-
We’ve been aided and deceived
By both major political party’s decree:-
When you check history and ourstory,
You will discover each party’s mockery:-
Hey, it’s not about which party all of the time; rather,
It’s about which of the two is pontificating the lesser crime:-
Check it out, Republicans as well as Democrats will choke,
As they viciously seek out money rather than our priceless vote:-
Thus, when it comes time to cast our priceless vote,
Navigated by political wisdom, choose the weakest rope:-
Then, go forth in future works to bring about equity,
Irrespective of the POTUS’s chosen political party:-
the streets still hum the same tired tune—
neon promises,
beer bottles rolling in the gutter
like broken dreams with barcodes.
everybody’s got a phone
but nobody’s got a pulse.
we scroll past each other
like ghosts in a supermarket aisle
looking for god between the cereal boxes.
the rich keep smiling
because smiling is tax-deductible,
and the poor keep hoping
because hope’s still free—
for now.
politicians shake hands
as if they’re testing the weight
of your wallet,
preachers pray on Sundays
and prey the rest of the week.
the poets still write,
not for fame,
but to keep from setting the place on fire.
and maybe that’s enough—
a few words in the dark,
a whisper over the static,
saying:
we’re still here,
damn it—
we’re still here.
VOTER AWARENESS AND POLITICAL WINDS
I
As the American
Political world turns,
Its winds of change
Are blowing with
An enormous increase
In voter pressure:-
To determine the direction
In which these winds blow,
Ironically, the political
Pressure gradient force
Of the political parties,
Seems to be focused
On money, rather than
Political ideology:-
Thus, let us voters
Be ever mindful that
It is our vote, that is the sun
That determines the directions
Of the political wind forces
Seeking to navigate the nation:-

Though we’re poor,
Our votes are priceless;
More valuable than is Gold,
And indeed, much more powerful:-
Yet, political parties still focus more
On begging the poor for money,
Rather than how they will help us
Survive trials and tribulations:-
III
In awareness of the power of the vote,
And the audacious capitalistic mendacity
0f politically begging money from those
Trying to survive their cost of living, must
Now be met with this guided awareness:
Let them now seek to earn our votes:-
Most votes went to Spender or Spendy
While few went to Thrifty
Who couldn’t keep pace
And fell out of the race
For he came up lame
Right during the game
But what was his name?
Who cares
Speaking of who cares
About Spendy or Spender
Because either of them
Will go on spending benders
Just to satisfy
Their central bank guy
Whom they can’t deny
And is the reason why
(Though most don’t know why)
They all voted for Spendy or Spender
And could care less about Thrifty
Oh my
(And no, Thrifty is NOT Biden)
On my phone came a reminder
That today’s Election Day,
With a list of things to do to keep
Anxiety at bay.
See some art at a museum,
Find a park to soothe your soul,
Have a meal at some new restaurant -
Diversion is the goal.
Go to church if that’s your calling;
Do some shopping if it’s not.
Read a book or try some exercise -
They both can help a lot.
At the bottom of the message,
Which reminded me to vote,
After all of the suggestions
Came a most surprising note:
“If you’re feeling suicidal,
Here’s a number you can call.”
When I think of this election,
That reminder says it all.
As I stood in the line looking neutral
Hoping my choice would be fruitful
I was knocked on my ass
By the bellowing gas
Of a wobbling sign with a snoot full
life happens.
It’s fall, it’s midterms
It’s election time.
New Haven’s giving a lot of fall.
I’ve been starting to feel the chills,
but things are turning cold and extra breezy,
so it all maks sense.
The good and bad can coexist closely,
is our energy dropping? Nope.
Whenever I think of voting,
I go back to American Idol.
My first voting experience.
It was 2009 and I was 14.
I was into Adam Lambert.
he didn’t win, and sure, I felt
a child's appreciable sense of outrage
millions and millions of us did
but we didn’t storm FOX Network
We cried into pillows and took it in stride.
Now Adam sings with Queen.
So I guess it worked out.

Grown adults know there are good, and
also, some twisted folks.

destroyed by despicable, untrue jokes.
In a world of media, the propoganda fools
the best of our people.
Jokes hide murderous intentions~a brain
is needed…not a tall steeple!
These “harmless “people, they are actually
going to the polls to vote?
How dangerous this is~ like going out in the
winter.minus a coat!
Viciousness, a vice, in great abundance,
Hitler and his youth had it to the max!
So 17 million Jews were killed as poeple
did not know opinion from fact.
A good comedian does not destroy anyone
with smears nor irresponsible lies.
But those who think opinions are facts…
are dangerous people in disguise.
