Premium MemberPerhaps

You seem immune to worry or concern,
you haven’t a care in the world.
Perhaps you think you’ll somehow live forever
defying laws that have ruled time itself.
Disturbs me to see time wasted away.

Are we possibly stuck at an impasse ~
tangible reality juxtaposing mundane absurdity?
You close your eyes the world stops,
how are you so carefree?
Perhaps you cater to the ludicrous delusion
that by ignoring time you’ll outrun it.
Pains me to see time wasted away.

I’m beyond comprehending such nonchalance,
time is irrefutably a most valuable commodity.
Moments elapsed are irreversibly gone ~
their squandering an unforgivable crime.
Kills me to see time wasted away.

Lineku: 3 stanzas of 5-7-5 lines, each line has 5 or 7 words

Time and Value

In the grip of Time, a silent flow,
From Roman days to Gregorian glow,
A dance of clocks, a crafted frame,
A social construct, a human claim.

In the realm of Time, where moments wane,
A social construct, we seek to gain.
From Roman roads to the Gregorian call,
We build our order, yet stumble and fall.

Power we chase, in the currency of money,
Yet what is it worth if life isn’t sunny?
In the mines of existence, we toil and we sweat,
Digging for precious metals, our value upset.

Education shines like the brightest of gems,
Illuminating paths, breaking down stems.
Yet the heart of the matter lies deeper than gold,
In the minerals of wisdom, true stories unfold.

It's up to us to remember, as we strive and we seek,
That the true worth of our journey is not just the peak.
For in each fleeting moment, through struggle and strife,
Lies the beauty of time, the essence of life.

The Value of Life

The value of life is beyond measure,
In every moment lies hidden treasure.
Tie it with the thread of dreams,
Make each day your own, it seems.

Learn the art of living through strife,
In every obstacle, a new path for life.
With love, compassion, and truth by your side,
These are the colors where joy resides.

Time flows like a river’s song,
Memories hold where smiles belong.
The essence of life is the bond we share,
Connecting hearts with tender care.

Hear the melody in every heartbeat,
Life is a symphony, gentle and sweet.
Let’s come together to nurture its glow,
And let the colors of life forever flow.

Your worth Doeth shine

Held back not,
Truth timed walk.
Proceed without cane,
Proceed without fault.
Clear pathway, clear head, calm heart.
Depart, foolish fleck
Fictional debris
plays no part
Neither dust nor speck.
Disguised as lies
bypass the wear
Bypass the tear
Fixated eyes
You're nearly there
Embracing truth
Unfailingly wise
Gently inclined
Owning time
Forsake recline
From whom hide
Declared in spirit
Warm as sun
Your worth doeth shine.

Anchored, secured
Shielded, guarded
Retreated ashore
Reminders unfolded
Strengthened
Protection
Swarming the moor
Distant wind
distant current
Dejected, declined
Astute in mind
Secured & bolted
This way inclined
Mildly defined
Godly refined
Most surely beloved
Your worth Doeth shine

Premium MemberI Walk into Love With You

I walk into love with you.
With my eyes wide open.
To take every measure along the way.

I didn't fall in love with you.
Because my eyes were wide open,
So, I can love you every step we take.

I believe in destiny and fate.
And we intended,
To do things that we value.

I'd choose you.
In a hundred lifetimes over,
Because you're unique in scars.

I'd choose you sooner.
In a hundred worlds different,
Because of your imperfections.

I'd choose you sooner.
In a hundred universes unalike,
Because I'd find you in time.

Any interpretation of this existence.
I'd find you sooner and choose you,
And I'd walk into love with you, again.

I love you all the same, Shannon! R.I.P.

Value in who you are

Something good can come out of being who you are,
No matter who you are,
Or who you think you are.

The kinder you are,
The more you should be proud of who you are,
As the kinder you are,
The more you will help others see who you are,
So, the day will come when you see for the first time,
   who you truly are,
When you see your beautiful self reflected in their eyes,
to remind you that you should proud of who you are,
And what you have overcome to be who you are.

Celebrate Me

Give me flowers while you still can,
In this fleeting world, a brief lifespan.
Don't wait till I am under the sand,
To say I was the man that always took a stand.
Let blossoms of love unfold,
In the tapestry of moments, stories untold.

I have cretinous heights to get to,
Yet I live my life impromptu.
Like petals whispering tales of grace,
Embraced by time, a fleeting embrace.
Letting fragrant verses of beauty unfurl,
In the garden of life, a precious swirl.

For time is a painter, a swift brushstroke,
Cherish the blooms before they revoke.
In the melody of now, a sweet refrain,
Everything earned, nothing given.

Give me flowers while you still can,
let their essence remain, it's a brief lifespan.
Celebrate me.

Premium MemberFamily Moment's

Remember (smiling) when:
You, me, the children then
Being out on the farm.

We were out tumbling in the yard,
We had all tumbled so much
The fun we all had
We giggled so hard over by the barn.

The laughter and cheers going on,
The chicken was chasing us
The kids were in a disparity
The bumps and bruises everywhere
As the day rushed, we continued through.

We had the best time,
Playing and listening to songs
Out in the barn
Stacked with bales of hay.

The night sky comes rolling kindly in,
It's nature's time to turn down the leaves
We're watching the moon and the stars in the skies
We were looking for bright shooting stars
Shooting across the skies, so exceedingly high.

R.I.P. Shannon Darnell,
Love you both!

Premium MemberValue

We think of value as a set amount
that's given to an item held or sold.
Most often- currency is paramount;
in olden times- perhaps silver or gold.

But, there is value in a different kind-
assessed and held by memories and heart,
which far surpasses any worth assigned;
for us, become forever works of art.

A mom's embroidery, dad's old-time tools,
or grandma's written recipes spelled out.
Intrinsic values follow no set rules;
the love assigned is what they're all about.

These values- held and stored by heart and mind
   Far supersede the ordinary kind.

The Value of Books

The value of books

Late afternoon, the sun has left the terrace and is in the back throwing up dust before reluctantly slinking west and sinking
into the sea beyond the seas.
The townscape is charming red-roofed dwellings among the many trees that are deep green this time of the year.
Near the sea are two big edifices, One has luxury flats on top for the people called the “jet-set” It is where scrawny women live
on lettuce a day and Valium.
Next to that house, a white elephant, a skeletal hotel that
was abandoned when the would-be owner went broke.
In the calm bay two small cargo ships of uncertain age riding
the anchorage waiting for the morning, it baffles me how these old ship makes money, two bags of rice here and a barrel of wine there; perhaps they fish and live healthily
but I do hope they have books, if not the lacuna of empty time must be heavy on the mind.
When I was a seaman, I read hundreds of books to pass the time
some rubbed off so the time became useful, like automatic learning.

Money Follows Value

In the realm where dreams collide,
A golden truth begins to rise,
Money follows where value resides,
In the world's discerning eyes.

Thirty minutes each passing day,
Devoted to your chosen way,
With training - guidance to display,
Expertise blossoms, come what may.

The world, it yearns for what you hold,
Your worth, a treasure yet untold,
For time and wisdom, you'll be extolled,
Embrace the opportunities unfold.

If Time Be the Only Thing of Value We Have To Lend

If in the end

Time be the only one true thing

Of actual real value

We in our hearts and minds possess

And we are able to lend

And may well in fact be

The essence and piece of us we leave behind

Then with that in mind

Be kind and plentiful with your time

And spend it and spread it

Wisely

Amongst and with deserving others

Who also intern

Are willing to reciprocate

And pay you the time of day back

A Valueless Wall

The time was 10:35
On the clock,
I cannot sleep,
I cannot walk

I just lay here
Writing this piece,
Not living,
But silently existing

I am confused about
My reality,
Why can’t I sleep?
Running in my own
Consciousness, trying
To climb a mountain
That is steep.

Even if I can’t, why should I?
Can’t I answer the questions?
 Can I only ask why?

Do I even help anyone?
At all?
Or what I might have achieved is just a
Valueless wall.

Premium MemberWords of Value

So many words l value
I will only mention a few
These are words l “try”to live by
Though not always easy to do

Life is an absolute blessing
Though we are truly tested at times
When my value words fly out the window
Myself l must remind ….

Thankyou and Sorry …voice them

Kindness ……A must

Appreciate……everything

Listen……we all need to be heard

Understanding….see others views

Compassion……Show to all

Judgement……Try not to make

Forgiveness……We all make mistakes

Happiness…..The best place to be

Laughter…..a healing natural medicine

Cuddle….Everyday!!

These are just my thoughts
You may think them sappy
I just want to live my best life
Enjoy my time here and leave happy!!

Premium MemberAcknowledging the Value of Time

Time is precarious
Precious
Unpredictable
She melts away
Or she runs away
Or she disappears
We cannot hold her
Or rearrange her
Or beg her to give more
We can only appreciate her while she is here
