The "Logic Of Longing" is the secret
Awareness that things can never be.
Just like "A torn canvas is two paintings"
Even with repair, the evidence remains
And you never see the painting
The same way again.
It's a "fever of fixation"
To try to make
The unworkable work!
How ever many times
"I melt my tears into your sunset fire"
It appears to be in vain...
So I sit in solitude
Solemn
While inside my heart it rains.
For the clouds of the heart are
"The clouds [that] spill a thousand secrets"
Into the deepest ocean -
"A thousand secrets"
That only the aching heart knows.
Just like "a torn canvas
is two paintings"
The separation means
We can no longer
Be together
As we once were ~
The "Logic of Longing"
Is a "Logic" of despair.

Spare some time ' tell them how we fought
The elements, and detriments and built a nation of worth.'

Premium Member An absence

Hello to all soupers.. My best wishes to all.. I am trying to get to grips with a
Narrative account, of a meeting I had way back in 1994 which only popped back
In my mind January of 2023.' It is mentally difficult to recall the exact sequence
Of dialogue.. Not least because I know now this ( random meeting ) with what I
Now know was a 'w e 'f operative had me initially be- moaning human overpopulation
And its 'so called' detrimental effects on the planet.' It was me who started the talk
To the complete stranger who I have never seen since..I validated the event by checking
Lectures in the university he noted the was working..And some of what I considered
Unworkable ideas that I aired on the day I now see coming into existence in our world
I had obviously picked up ' some ideaology' also 15 years prior? So It seems from what
I see spoken at davos.. and catchphrases I have some part in our current predicament
Which I need to address, and it is a mental stress..I will finish now, I hope to get on I
Could finish this in a few hours now, but it's so depressing.'
I may get on to make the odd comment but please bear with
Me? All the best, all my love.'

Discussing Plan of Attack After the Event

Used to be that planning your day around the breakfast table,
Was no fable,
And made perfect sense.

Now of course that is unworkable,
As most now text able,
But have trouble making a lot of cents,
As discussing only failed plans at the tea table,
Does not make you work able,
And points to a lack of common sense.

It Is Rainining Now

I like rainy
It is the best of all days

You can't walk
as much as you thought
Or depressed
unworkable

I love rainy days

my wife said,
"pick me up
only on rainy days".

Oh! Happy day

Beggar

Beggar, beggar
brazen beggar
Bluntly begging
for a buddy
Ain't that silly?
Most ludicrous!
Beggar, beggar
bratty beggar
blatantly blathering
about her blunders
Ain't that shameful?
Most insensate!
Beggar, beggar
bouncy beggar
bragging boldly
about her bounty
Ain't that funny?
Most hilarious!
Beggar, beggar
blithe beggar
boastfully blagging
about her prattle
Ain't that stunning?
Most astounding!
Beggar, beggar
bumbling beggar
bemusedly begging
for heartbreak
Ain't that woeful?
Most ruthful!
Beggar, beggar
my dear beggar
please stop beseeching
the improbable
Why should you implore
the impossible
Just be be brave
and go bimble
far away
from the shambles
But remember:
don't let you heart
beg your mind
for an answer
for my dear beggar
that's unworkable

Premium Member Seeing Both Sides

Standing up, on top
straddling the seesaw
one foot on each side, now.
Whichever way I lean
sends the upside down
and the downside up.
Slippery slide
to the flip-side
is unworkable.
It's lunge, parry
riposte.

The Time Is Upon Us - the Story of Goodbye To a Mazda

Today, keys and battery proved
The old dear won’t move anymore.
The conscientious mechanic tried,
Even decked a fake trunk to cheer me up.

A lump in my stomach arose when I thought of her,
The cool highway, the cowboy hats
The love of her, until, until
She used that mind of her own that now sits silent, dead.

She winked down the road at the dark glass of yesterday,
And resigned to knowing,
Her insides are repaired though unworkable, where pretty girls
For 24 years, for 24 years giggled and planned.

She now must be moved to make way for the yard man,
To grow that golden and burn-ed grass, while
The tears of remembrance roll, another
Crossing into an older land.

And I must say Goodbye.

The Four Seasons

All the world has four seasons,
why do some think they don't?
They all present differently,
no matter where you are on earth.

We don't need to think we are supreme
beings because we have snowfall.
Nor should we down our sisters and
brothers who choose a sunny climate
other than ours as brainless, dull fuzzballs.

I don't know much, but I know
this.
I will hear complaints from all
when it snows.
At first it will be all ooos and ahs!
But after weeks of shoveling
and unworkable cars,oh my!
They wail for the next season.

If one is lucky enough to be at
home, snowfall is a delight!
But for those who have to work
daily or walk or fall in freezing cold.
This whooping over snow gets
pretty old!

Notes:
*Poet once lived in Chicago
almost half her existence in
the Windy City.
But once she touched the fine
joys of the state of California
life, fell in love with it.
I do mean,hopelessly.*

An Initial Post-Marriage Poem

O invisible sympathetic listener
Will it annoy my elder Hitler-sister-in-law?
(O my colleague! An Arabian teacher, mocked English
and fought me for its ambiguity);
I mean my wife’s sister.
Like the Jerusalem
With ‘What Must Be Said ’!
Or but to stop this stupid self is …!
If I say I respect her,I kiss her on lips
And eyes,
Lift her up in arms
And wrestle …!
But to detest someone so dearly loved,
Or forget —
Seems unworkable …!

Us, We and Ours

Let's share our love
The love we know little about
As our hands feel each other
So would our souls
Tell your boss to day is unworkable
And i will tell mine
Today is unmissable.
Today we shall harvest the fruits of love
From our Tamarind tree
Which we grew together
Today we will share the peanuts of love
We will take our oath by the giant oak tree
You and i will dine on the table, for two, of abundance
I know that our love will be loved by our love,
That this night we shall reach the peak of the stars,
Swim in the great blue sea of mystery,
And wrap ourselves with the fluid of our orgasms.

My River of Tears

Imprisioned deep inside is the existing power of guilt,
unworkable to disregard, the power has now built.

I feel no shamelessness to relinquish this unwanted strength,
as its been my chaperon for its unwanted length.

A Shadow of displeasure hauls over me like a dismal cloud,
corrupting my perception and leaving me far from proud.

Lacking the vision of that diminutive fragment of hope i once had clutched guared in my
dream,
now all is bewildered in the course transition of the natural flow in the stream.
