Beneath the mask, where scars reside,
A hero's facade, in shadows, I hide.
Head held high, though helpless I feel,
Smiling to conceal the wounds that are real.
I say "I'm okay" to dodge the queries,
Flooded questions, drowning worries.
Strength portrayed, yet breaking unseen,
A wall built high, suffering between.
Pain digs deep, soul bleeding sore,
Reaching flesh and bones, to the core.
