Premium Member Happy New Year

Out with the old, in with the new way of doing the same old thing.
Instead of snow, I clear the leaves. I don’t cleave to a resolution.
I don’t revolve around indecision. My natural giddyup takes off, as
the silence of empty-for-years-nest necessitated a sort and toss.

Happy New Year, a choice, when nothing precludes its success,
such as mourning in formal dress. Sneakers suffered from heel to toe,
as the alternative alteration of age - not hip, not on toes, unbendable.
Sixty-four years new, on the eve of ceremonial senior citizenry,

golden leaf revelry. Hold onto what is momentous: kith and kin,
giving in the form of an empathetic and devoted ear to your loved ones, acquaintances, strangers. Wishing you a Happy New Year. This one
begin with wraps and bows, even if the ball drops. Make it your best.

Premium Member Embracing the Storm

I am the storm that lost its own rhythm,
laughter flaring, then burning to silence.
Your imperfections swagger,
and scars that tell unerasable stories.

Some days I am a solid stream, unbendable,
other days, a forest fire — wild, unrelenting.
I falter, I burn too bright,
but each autumn leaves a truth inside me.

If you read me in bits and pieces, raw and randy,
know I am whole in my breaking—
a mosaic of all who stayed,
through the peace and the flame.

Premium Member Unbelievable

How can a Lawyer defend
The undefendable?
How many times can you bend the truth
When is the truth unbendable?

How can a Lawyer look the Judge in the eye?
And blatantly lie,
It is not commendable.

It is difficult for the truth to understand,
Why?
Is the Lawyer guilty too?
Stating that the truth is another lie

It makes one wonder about the law,
What were the rules made for,
Not to be broken, that's for sure.

When did the truth become a lie?
In court the other day.
A lawyer said this could be so
As he brushed the truth away.

I did say, "Lawyer."
Although I found it inconceivable
When a respected man of the law
States lies, and the truth is the same,
Unbelievable.

Stof

I'm offended,

unbendable,

subtle yet encouraged-

there's a place to be,

to go see-
I can and will breathe.

I am here for the crave,
and instantly a brave!

Let's let them speak because we have been drained,

the energy is proof that we stayed.

POEMS THAT MAKE NO SENSE (1)

another kind of pink
bothers me
a blue razor rusting
in my throat
black backboned
unbendable
blend meanings into
leafy greens
uncrossed white iced
particles
melt into hazy faded
greys
gold threads of barbwire
silver
groan purple through
mauve moans
red blood rivulets
seep deep to
their feet
splashing beats on
soiled brown musty
sheets
in

defeat

Premium Member A Strong Man Like a Baby In Her Arms

He is a strong man: unbendable, unbreakable…steel
He is a brave man
He fights his battles
He claims his victories
Vicious and fierce when the need arises
Protective and overly zealous
A fighter
A gladiator who can wound
To protect what is his
A strong man by day
Everyday

But then at night, oh sweet blessed night
A strong man like a baby in her arms
He is covered in her scented softness
She lets him suckle at her breast
Feeding him her soul
Nourishing him
Whispering in his ear
As she runs her hand through his hair
Gently binding his wounds from battle
Caressing his taught muscles with fragrant oil
Soothing him
Crooning to him
Letting the last sound in his ears
To be her melodious lullaby of love
Her mighty warrior...her baby

He drifts off into sleep
Covered in her blanket of charms
Safe from all harm
A strong man like a baby in her arms

Nothing Can Destroy Love

Nothing can destroy real love.
No tornado could ever destroy it.
No hurricane could ever blow it away.
No crane could ever knock it over.
It’s like an unbendable steel.

Nothing could ever destroy real love.
No president could stop it.
No judge could over rule it.
It’s a disease no doctor could cure.
It’s always strong and real for sure.
It’s you and I together and so deep in love.
