I am on the phone pretending to listen
the speaker drones on and on and on and on
I have heard all of her sad sack stories before
same hum drum, bore snore stories
I don’t even know these people
Mostly neighbors she spies on from a front window
Every once in a while, I say “uh-huh” or “oh no”
This keeps the chatter rolling
Take a break, let's have some tea
Spend a little time with me
I'll serve you on an antique set
Fine china, porcelain, delicate
It's all the best when comes to you
Nothing but the best will do
It's for you that I give my all
Everything, from big to small
Then afterwards let's lie around
Our legs and feet up off the ground
A king size bed, our bodies close
This is what I long for most
Our eyes reveal what's deep inside
The moment when our lips collide
Revealed in that impassioned kiss
What I've waited all my life for...this

FOLKS SAY YOU CAN'T SEE HIM
HE SAID " YES YOU CAN"
WE JUST TURNED OUR HEADS AND SMILED
HE LOOKED UP FIRST TO RESITE A VERSE
BUT GOT CAUGHT UP ON WHO CAME FIRST
HE SLIPPEDUP AND SAID THE mISTER CARRY'S A PURSE
THIS MADDEN SEVERAL OF THE OTHER MEN
ONE SPOKE UP AND SAID "YOU THINK YOU RICH"
YOU'RE JUST ONE LUCKY SUM-A b$TCH
AND THAT AINT THE BEST THING FOR YOUR FREINDS
THEY'RE HALF FOOLISH
SOME SAY THEY'RE DUMB
WE ALWAYS WONDERED WHERE THEIR IGNORANCE COMES FROM
I SEE RIGHT IT'S MORE THAN LIKELY TO COME FROM YOU
IF SWANS ARE LARGE CHICKENS
AND BUBBLE GUM COME FROMS COWS
PIGS ARE ROOSTERS
AND ALLIGATERS ARE SOW'S
THEN MAYBE THEN YOU'RE THE SMARTEST ONE
BUT I DON'T THINK THING'S ARE THAT WAY
IT JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS FOOLISH PEOPLE SAY
AND IF GOD HELPS FOOL'S
AND MAKES WAYS FOR DRUNKS
THAN YOU'RE BLESSED
AND ONE LUCKY PUNK
JUST GET YOUR STUPID SELF OUTTA MY FACE!
He makes me do such silly things,
Terror and trouble he surely brings.
Gum in hair, and sticks in wheels,
No care for how everyone feels.
Mud pies thrown through the sky,
Embarassed my sister in front of that guy.
Things i did i will not soon forget,
Uh-huh. the devil made me do it.
Sugar in salt, and salt in sugar,
Made my brother eat that booger.
Sorry is a word unsaid,
Hand in cup equals pee in bed.
I cannot say that i hold any regret,
The devil surely made me do it.
