We Walk

WE WALK
We walk in the silence of our own destiny;
Gathered close to certain Grace,
Dignity and Joyful memories.
Eyes cloud with sorrowful purpose,
Masking the pain of long gone chance.
To change all in our own time,
Yet change comes only as it would.
By our own singular steps,
With others by our side.
First slowly with caution then,
Sure footed with abandon then,
Masterfully with all wisdom then,
Majestically with all joy and,
Finally with all Grace within,
We all walk this journey.
For some it is a lonely place.
Some call the journey home.
Others, until we meet again.
To hold each other close in mind
In circumstance to remind,
We are all here in a moment.
Tomorrow will come; we will walk.
Not away but toward the most precious
Through all we have touched,
We have learned, we have taught,
We have loved.
We walk in the Grace of our Elders.

Shadow's Light

SHADOW'S LIGHT

Softly hold
this morning sight,
As night returns
her song,
Amongst elder
spirits flight
Journeys far
and long.
Silent words
unfold the night
And pray
they be not wrong.
Shadow burns
its final light.
Its' endless
twilight song.
Shadow haunts
an empty heart.
Same emptiness
beyond this sight.
Empty thoughts,
doubts to part,
Clinging one less
time in fright;
Grasping for more
time to start..
Rage then anger,
one last might.
Lost within
a fearful heart,
Hidden within
Shadow's Light

Last Glance

LAST GLANCE

Time slips its bond to fall on outreached hands,
Gingerly seeping through fingers,
Grasping one last glance at the Grace that was;
When you last spoke,
Last touched,
Last felt the sun upon your face,
And smiled at the warmth of it.

Memories fade yet linger - waiting for no reason,
But to be for the moment, then replaced,
By din of present life once more,
Touching one last glance of the Grace that was;
Your Presence,
When you last laughed,
Last Loved,
Last felt the wind in your hair and
Lingered in the Brace of it.

Hidden Whispers

Hidden Whispers

Quiet shadows cast their reign
On unsuspecting travelers
Their journey neither beginning nor at its end
Launched by the swells and the currents
Long patterned before we came upon this shore.
With a cadence announcing for all to witness
Conjured by the weight of sovereign shores.
Dispatched by excuses words left empty
The promise to restore.

With storm driven tide this past year rambled throughout its course bringing sorrow upon sorrow to the least of which was most.

Fatigue leaves such travelers alone in their plight.
Empty eyes and lost horizons envy this flight.

Hope, hope upon hope that this too will end
Like closing a door to find the open window
Working too hard resting too soft.
Exhausted, depleted, empty.

Again hidden whispers bring the silence of truth to fore.
Bringing lessons of peace and honour a more.
Of Love and Faith

Faith the grass will grow, the birds will sing, the sun will shine but most of all the people will once more waken from the cold dark place of winter dreams to rise again renewed.
