We Walk

WE WALK We walk in the silence of our own destiny; Gathered close to certain Grace, Dignity and Joyful memories. Eyes cloud with sorrowful purpose, Masking the pain of long gone chance. To change all in our own time, Yet change comes only as it would. By our own singular steps, With others by our side. First slowly with caution then, Sure footed with abandon then, Masterfully with all wisdom then, Majestically with all joy and, Finally with all Grace within, We all walk this journey. For some it is a lonely place. Some call the journey home. Others, until we meet again. To hold each other close in mind In circumstance to remind, We are all here in a moment. Tomorrow will come; we will walk. Not away but toward the most precious Through all we have touched, We have learned, we have taught, We have loved. We walk in the Grace of our Elders.
