To forgive

is not to forget;

Christ said

to the father:

Forgive them

for they know not

what they do.

Hurt is a crucifixion

but forgiveness

is a blessing:

Be at peace

and live in love

of our Father’s prayer:

Forgive me Father,

as I forgive my transgressors.

Be not deceived by hate

producing more of itself

be of love’s forgiving grace.

You cannot love the God

you’ve never seen, and yet hate

those who daily fill your eyes’ heart:-

Premium MemberUmbrage

Our soul's ascent has nothing to do with age,
if as yet dark animal instincts prevail,
that on facing rebuffs, heart still takes umbrage,
unable to quell raging fires that assail,
recognising not that life is but a stage,
where if we're detached, we may joyfully sail.

Let's forgive transgressors as we breeze through life,
in time dissolved stillness, at all times bliss rife.

The Revenue From Trasgressors

My name is The Law.
My face is stern
Toward transgressors,
But I can use
The fines they pay
Dropping into the coffers!

In this life of mine
I forgive all transgressors
We are endless ones

Ballad of the Hollows

Woe the few brave
That fear cowered behind
Waiting to deprave
Till shots rung
Viewed as the addled
We are engulfed
We are only
The silhouette of our substance
We have been formed crudely
By the circumscribe of tyrants
But we will not be deterred
The restrictors will not dilute the glory
Of those few brave who rebuked
our transgressors
We are caged
Like animals we stalk
But we are not the egregious they seek
All they are the ones unperturbed
By their forfeited ethical standing
Soldiers that never atoned
For their precarious standing
In the voluptuous kingdom come
Yet we are indefatigable
Yet we will not forget

Good News--- Hear ye:
God is good; He loves sinners, including you and me
Trust in Him --- Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, the Life.

Message of tidings for eternal life-ownership:
The Saviour offers His love
Whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but will forever live.

Gospel of salvation*--- made clear by the Scriptures:
Died, buried and rose again is the Prince of peace
For the redemption of hell-bound transgressors.

With the Lord’s good tidings,
Here am I --- faith-propelled, thankful, worshipful…
“Enable me, dear God, to be Your compassion-driven bearer.”

*Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

How Absurd it Seemed

Ah, those memories, so well refined, reworked, revised to meet the failings of memory – or the shame of remembrance. Tinged now with humor’s hubristic insolence, fleece covered shards of broken lives reassembled in a grotesque collection of stained glass pleading with the moment for forgiveness. Time, imprisoned for aiding and abetting the fugitives, providing refuge for the tattered transgressors, disguising the thoughts, denying the actions, suffering the consequences of eternities amnesia.

        how absurd it seemed….
…in a family of black sheep
						                       …to be the black sheep

Premium MemberWe of the Open Heart

we of the open heart

I thought poetry came from the mind
through the heart.
 Perhaps I am wrong.
Too dreamy eyed existing
in my own world of
loving kindness and innate
good in all.
Perhaps to maintain this world,
I have had to withdraw further
and further from humankind.
(funny term is it not?)
I refuse to stop being me.
So I take the responsibility
for the painful consequences.

We who live from the heart
know the risk and
do not blame ourselves
for the occasional negative
response of being used
we believe in innate good.
It is a most fowl sin to abuse loving people
treating their openheartedness as a weakness
of which they can take advantage.
That is the transgressors responsibility.
By no means believe
that we are weak or
helpless because
after you have finished abusing
listen carefully ....and hear us roar.

Litterati

I really wish there were somebody
Who could nail the litterati.
Maybe those who access Twitter
Could point out those folks who litter.

Here’s a topic for some Tweets –
Some trash I noticed on the streets:
Paper plates from pizza places;
Wrappers smeared with candy traces.

Skinny covers once from straws,
Nasty notes that gave me pause;
Crumpled packs from cigarettes,
Baggies filled with poop from pets.

Water bottles, now depleted;
Store receipts from sales completed.
Many balled-up, wrinkled tissues
Filled, no doubt, with slimy issues.

Yogurt cups where stuff congeals;
Peach pits and banana peels.
Surely there are things I missed;
This is just a partial list.

In college one of my professors
Used to challenge the transgressors.
Not a great idea today,
Yet somehow litterbugs should pay.

So if you spy one in the act,
Grab your phone and quick, react:
Snap a photo – grant him fame.
Perhaps we can clean up with shame!

I Am Man

I am man
No dictionary can define my legacy
I am man
Defiant of of transgressors destiny
I am man
Something more than mere masculinity
Something corporeal of life's spirituality
I am man

I am man
And no legal scale nor constitution defines me
I am man
More than dreamers and thinkers desire me
I am man
Measureless vastness of finite history
Embrace me in my borderless geography
I am man.

I am man
Not because of my burnt sepia of skin
I am man
Not to be measure by fallen leaves of sin
I am man
Conveyor of dignity, castling love within
Beaten but unbroken, shackled but still to win
I am man

I am man
Do not define me by color, class, or creed
I am man
Defying boundaries riding faith as a steed
I am man
The image of my Creator, stigma for his seed
Through my veins run something more than I bleed
I am man

So Good

A comfortable sound; is found in the pews
Illuminated, we are feeling the Good News
As this providence is caught alive
All tempestuous thoughts of transgressors subside
Hallelujah, HE brings divine will for all of us too…
It is so good to hear the sweet sounds from the pews

Patience 1

Prepare yourself for a story that is true,
A man of great virtue, peace and finesse, I say.
This man was no ordinary man like me or you.
Identified at birth as the King of all Kings that day,
Exemplified in Glory of his fathers name to all,
Now that he has ascended, for all our sins he died.
Caring and guiding transgressors was his call.
Eternal life granted belief of his sacrifice inside.
