Deep Moments

The shadow I cast on the corridor wall
Covers my father’s radiant photo frame

Night’s transcripts are saved on the iron chest
Stacking the secrets tied in bundles

Apologies are like incense sticks and the
truths are ever scrawled on my arid skin

I want to talk but my voice down and down
till it becomes barely a whisper

It is one of those nights when I can't
Close my eyes and sleep in tranquility

Moreover moonlight wants to dance on the shaky railings and try to slip inside

I want to reach out and take his hand
Each moment waiting its own turn to go back

she showered the sky in anthracite crimson and sepia

	eclipsed broken pencils and crayons moulded together

took a fading snap shot in memory of what’s yet to come

a soft touch surpassed clawed grips of splintered sorrow

	outlined peripheral beauty on the transcripts of passing

rescued cinnamon and ultramarine from darkness of night

as she climbed past the pinnacle of rational composure

	fresh mysterious shades surpassed stark intentional hues

compounded tapestry of magical sketches into her truth

when the moon waxed in slow motion to a tune of innocence

	doubts waned as evaporation dried the canvas and pattern

of unrepeatable capture of reason to emotion’s delight

she took another sip from an overflowing fountain of measure

	repainted the scene from scrap books of subconscious mind

unaware of translucent epiphanies moistened on parchment

An Open Door

I walk in starlight’s drizzle,
sprinkling softly on my head.
But within I wield a chisel,
wresting poetry instead.

Unhindered by the test of time,
my plan through acquisition to succeed.
But life has been an upward climb.
Enforced restraint was guaranteed.

Whether young or old a struggle—
angelic memories vanished.
Transcripts all amuddle—
my status polyannished.

Still I’ve found a myriad ways
that I might love myself.
Avoided chasing worldly praise—
good enough all by Itself.

Now there is a yearning
to terminate the search.
Content with all my learning—
None who would besmirch.

A multitude surrounds me.
Ahead effulgent glow.
Some are stolid, some agree—
to stay behind or go.

Would you have a liar,
or one who tells the truth?
One who can inspire,
or one inclined to sleuth?

As for me at journey’s end,
I’m searching for the open door.
And walking through I might transcend,
for just beyond, there’s more.

I walk in starlight’s drizzle,
sprinkling softly on my head.
I’ve tossed aside the chisel,
seeking higher realms instead.

Trouble

That is how I see it.

Sure seem to be having trouble
writing poems. Am reading Read
and the Blue by Steve Kornacki
right now. Finished painting
screened in porch and putting
furniture back out. My ywo cats
who are Yellow Tabby Jack and
Henry were out with me while
Jill was inside watching MSNBC
complaining about Trump and
Kevanaugh.

Premium MemberShe's a Judge, Jury and Executioner Ignoring Truth

Wouldn’t it be odd if she didn’t believe,
And ignored the truth that occurred,
Denied all the proof of what other folks saw,
Denied what other folks heard,

Ignoring the transcripts, not wanting to know,
Not asking the folks who were there,
Not digging a bit deeper and doing her job,
Choosing, instead, his despair,

Well, it seems odd to me, these odd looking days,
The witch hunt believes dubious lies,
This uninformed witch chasing disproven stories,
With her phone and her suit and her tie,

Leaving behind her a wasteland of barren,
Destroying a man’s life of build,
Destroying, for no reason, the years of good done,
This innocent man who she killed.

Premium MemberBirth of Me

Today, I am very inner,
and I am looking within me for the answer.
O, just dreaming is my reality,
and I am lost high above the storm clouds;
my life is entangled in wispy, gauzy shrouds.
I proclaim, I will stop wandering aimlessly,
I will pick- a better journey!

I will be reborn this new year,
I will face life with strength, courage, and without fear.
Only tranquility will leave my lips,
and serenity will dwell in my heart;
I will surrender the past so it can depart.
My next year is a new white page with no hardships,
I will write my life- new transcripts!

Morning oozes
Sunbeams linger;
Hurl of new day

~~~~~~~~~
Dawn brightly hurls
Sparkle and fest;
Sleepy eyes glimpse
~~~~~~~~~

Neighbour walks
Cute barking dog;
Morning commotion

~~~~~~~~~
Sun streams slant
Bright beams burst;
Touch tasty twinkle
~~~~~~~~~

My wife signals
Birdsong on ledge;
Lovely serenade

~~~~~~~~~
Joy attends
Window soloist;
Black bird concerto
~~~~~~~~~

Early rising
Wake-up call alarm;
Morning agenda

~~~~~~~~~
Words in slow murmurs
Seeding new voice;
Verse transcripts ooze
~~~~~~~~~

Fenugreek brew
Honeyed black cumin;
Espresso plus lemony brief

~~~~~~~~~
Sparkling colours
Gaze of morn;
Tai-Chi dancers swirl
~~~~~~~~~

Time waltzes fast
Watch the sun beams;
Another year dawns

~~~~~~~~~
Assassination U S A
Was Lennon's death a nations shame?
   The question is, why did he die?
   Psychotic dreams were thought to blame.
   His stance on peace, did fan the flame.
   The assassin said that John did lie.
   Was Lennon's death a nations shame?
   Mark shot him down, then seeking fame,
   He read 'The Catcher in the Rye'.
   Psychotic dreams were thought to blame.
   New York had staged it's 'national game'.
   Conspiracy was a theory, 'why'
   Was Lennon's death a nations shame?
   With rumours rife, some gave a name,
   As coded transcripts did imply.
   Psychotic dreams were thought to blame.
   By exploitation, did they frame
   A mindless act, whoever by?
   Was Lennon's death a nations shame?
   Psychotic dreams were said to blame.
     I wrote this in march 2014. but i thought it might upset some people.
     If so my apologies to anyone offended
I Am a Man
A firm, definition attached to my title,
Loyal to my strength as my conviction to Christianity,
Harder than the blows Lucifer dares to strike.
Rigid are these eyes, these eyes are unwavering,
Strong enough to pierce through the window of my enemy,
Through this window, a place a soul once lived.
Knees never to be weakened,
For within dwells the key to my strength,
Eternally frozen, these tears,
A man's tears.
This heart's size, infinite,
If size fits such possibility,
The size of a mountain maybe,
Mountains, mother and true protector of oceans,
This heart, father to my constantly, repelling fears,
Repelling from the protector of my steadfast, soul,
This heart abandoned all my fears,
Fears known to man, i know none,
Hearts of lions, transcripts of this heart within,
My manhood, my heart.
Premium MemberDefined By Time
Memories mark moments of time, passing like a carousel
  A bitter day in January Challenger exploded
  Hopes for the future of our space program quickly eroded
Recalling the fate of the first teacher in space, on sadness dwell
On a November day in Dallas, nineteen sixty-three
  Camelot dreams collided with bullets, a president died
  Who’ll forget where they were when they heard the news and sadly cried
Benchmarks, dates circled on calendars, time passes as we grieve
Two thousand and one an attack befell New York’s twin towers
  Were you one of many who watched the second tower fall?
  Have you wished to travel back in time and these events forestall?
Cycles of life and death recorded, buds that bloom black flowers
Such are the transcripts documented in every human heart
  Moments in time that change the course of history as we know it
  Reminders of tragic events and acts that mankind commits
In the cyclical sense, they’re but slivers of a vast pie chart
Breadwinner
Dog-eat-dog, cut-throat,
GOODBYE
To tomorrow
Who stares me down,
Menacingly it approaches.
Waste not, want not,
Waste brain, no gain,
No survival
Not cut out
To be breadwinner.
Shifting Sands
Using me,
I take a refuge in desire.
‘Seeing act’ strangulates.
I suffer in the mists of defeat,
there is no evidence.
One attachment catches the conflict.
The fading light of moon burns my pillow,
transcripts impenetrable theme.
Conceiving a problem
in the shifting sands, life seeks
a view of words and enjoys the discreet
meaningless movement.
We play the game again & again,
feed our egos. Study the sorrow
and give charity to the torn flags
of pride and hunger.
The fear does not end,
the looking does not stop.
Each answer leaps to a grief.
The chronicle of squeezed holocaust.
we were hurting each other
humming a song.
Violence of non-violence was more evident.
