Premium Member SQUIRREL WITH A MAGIC TOP HAT

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A squirrel with a magic hat and flair
Conjured acorns from thin air—quite rare!
     His paws flashed so quick,
     A Halloween vanishing trick...
Then poof! He was gone. "Anywhere? There!"
Wonderland
You stare into your upside-down top hat,
gaze at thoughts kept there
as you peer within that weird cavity
like Alice gazing into a rabbit hole.
Do you see a fantasy world in that magic hole?
That weird stuff appears so real to you
in that top hat where thoughts and dreams accrue
as if in a gap in the ground, a magic pit, dear Alice?
Or is that dream a giddy glimpse of your strange self?
Are you an Alice looking down a hole, though gazing at a ghoul
that goggles back like something
that peers purposefully from a distorted mirror?
A toast.......
Of elegant swagger
From a "cocked" tail
On all four legs
With moves of
Fred Astaire, he graces
Your attention with
Haughty green eyes and a black satin jacket
Hi skits.......he scats
And Doobedee Ohblawda
Vanishes in a flash
Of "pitter-pat-pats"
Coooooool.........like a tall sip
Of high strung Ice Tea
On the hottest day.....
He jerks in and out like a plethora of air on water
And when night finally scratches
His bedpost after his catly capers
He disappears - incognito
To haberdashery bonnets
Stretched to a lopsided max
Like a misplaced wig
As a crown of honor at the top of his "Chosen's" head
Affixed..................like his namesake
He's one lofty cat..........
Words From the Top Hat
Loop DNA run truth destination crash
Light freedom need warm knife
Funk deck bunk read
Arch minimum deal lifted
Ink train mining deeds
Earth kilo rank judge
Long is by law
Yen hurt secret upon
feed at it ask
Of our minute nurses
Knight still love textbook
Secrecy week search lining
Searching awestruck assertion
Top Hat
She tipped her top hat, lit a cigarette,
inhaled a drag and began to think.
He walked in,slid a dime in the jukebox
and ordered a drink...
 Two lost souls entwined in a glass,
one with rythm, one with sass...
two lost souls amongst a mass
they know what each is thinking
..both sat silent, both sat drinking...
 He smiled offered a wink as she replied
"please stay away, I can't take it, not today..."
"Kind of rough and rocky?" he sighed
"I want to be alone!"she lied...
As the music began to tickle her skin
"where shall I begin?"
