pearl-soft rain gathers
at the threshold of early spring;
your compass traces
a quiet path through the silver air,
where calm awe begins to rise.
as hybrid poplar
slowly begins to turn gold....
low gray cloud
rain down sprinkles dampening me
all surroundings relish the moisture
It’s a nice old wood
she says as we hand-in-hand
walk and the dancing
shadows of old trees filtered
from summer sun meet us there.
almost directly overhead
crescent moon slips behind clouds....
crickets croon tunes
gray clouds hide red sun rising
rainstorm approaching soon adds apprehension
sun faintly appears
fuchsia peeks from behind clouds....
crickets chirp loudly seeking mate
speeding truck, nature gets quiet
golden sun descends
fall`s soft breeze begins to stir
leaves turn red and gold
nature`s cycle starts anew
a quiet peace settles in.
dew crafts crown on grass
rustling leaves fall as gold flakes
garden gleams cinder…
nature’s splendor charms me with
aureate autumn aura
summer softly hums
a lullaby as leaves fall
into autumn’s rest
snow will soon blanket all things
in coziness until spring
flowers are fading
as sun sets on the season
last tree rhapsodies
crowned beauty has met her fall
wild colors lie overall
Water slick as glass,
Golden light casting a dance,
Where my thoughts wander,
Watching birds fly to their home,
Ruby cold holds my regret.
NATURE’S MERRY-GO-ROUND
Bright green leaves waving,
Knowing they’ll soon be falling:
Leaving naked trees.
Naked trees, teased by winter,
Springing new leaves for summer:-
IN THE NATURES OF LIFE
As is in nature,
I, too, have seasons of life:
All being blessed by God:-
Like old sage trees around me,
I’m still surviving each one:-
Thor's mighty hammer
masterpieces of the ages -
thunder and lightning
fire splashes in the sky
symbol of strength and power
Authentic event
in different perspectives -
a brave adventure
no fear or hesitation
sensitive satisfaction
thunderstorm last eve
water stands in dirt puddles....
roadkill all gone now
vultures drink from fresh water
after a sizable lunch consumed
NATURE’S SAGE-NECK REFLECTORS
With their necks taller
Than sunflowers and some trees,
Awareness is theirs:
Giving them serene calmness
In their life’s environment:-
How self-confident
They always seem to reflect
In their awareness.
Reflecting, we should also
Strive to be likewise in ours.
They reflect for us,
Standing calm in awareness,
Enhances wisdom:-
And brings about clear guidance
In meeting life’s challenges:-
They further canvass
That standing tall in your life,
Reflects confidence:
Ready to meet all the trials
Surrounding you in your life:-
In their proud stance,
They reflect serenity
In life’s awareness:-
In today’s circumstances,
Let us get to giraffing!
