Deep in to the shivering waves of mood,
have just met the other me,
through hundreds of inner layers,
unbeknown to myself
they swarmed like thousands of prayers.
A lifetime of constant spirited battle
where tumultuous emotions can not be settled.
All those other exhibited faces that have me defined,
yet many of them still non-obedient in being refined.
Now, my character with several shapeless sides,
will remain yet again on stranger tides.
Tomorrow is an obscure wonder,
where yet again,
another new me awaits to subsequently wander.

A while ago,—you seemed a fantasy—
and like a fragmentary apparition
or a flutter flitting past my faint cognition
—to my buzzing thoughts: you the rose, I the bee.
And though my hiving mind, admittedly,
swarmed all around a phony superstition,
(you—o’ flower), yet,—(and, malintution?
aside;)—you roused in me the gayest glee.
Now, you go as a prickle—as the sting
of a hard thorn, each every random while,
and seek to nib my nose, or pique my eye.—
Well, since convention bars my asking “why?”,
I’ll try to win another petal’s smile;
—though, must you be the blossom of my spring?

Imagine it today
a rag-tag procession
two-three million souls
advancing northward
Mt. Sinai their goal
A bearded prophet
leading the way
leaning on the staff
he waved yesterday
When lice swarmed down, locusts, hail
Egyptian first-born at midnight dead
Pharaoh sent forth a wail
his subjects in mortal dread
Israel reached the Sea
her joy turned wary
trapped ‘tween it
and Pharaoh’s pursuing army
Then brave Nachshon
of Yehuda’s tribe
walked into the waves
setting the vibe
The waves parted
the sea split
Their path charted
Israel passed through...
You may not believe me
~ but I was there too

A murder of Drone Crows
Swarmed above the protest
Swivelling above the crowd
Pausing on targets identified
Hacking into their brain implants
"Disperse!"
"Disperse!"
Messages sent along descending
Neural pathways to their feet
Crow demands!
Directive tingles, itches
Pepper smoke
Released
Compliance accomplished
Mission complete...
Crows stack in darkened alleys
Waiting for
Next ignition commands
Stare

wishing and hoping.
living in past memories,
empty all alone.
living with the hope of a future.
watching like a spectator, of the life i lost.
butterflies swarmed my heart every time our paths crossed.
from feeling like a dream to becoming my dreams.
waking up and your gone,
all thats left is the echos of our song.
cold finger tips,
sharing our love with our lips.
A lonely passenger trying to navigate life while still yearning for his lost treasure.
i cant have you and now you belong to another.
i wonder if your eyes enchant him like they done me.

Gold leaf falling from the promising tree
Brisk breeze of an October fall.
The birds loud in their fallow,
With the changing season of tommorow.
The branches cling on for hope
But snap and crack in their amnesty.
The green fields now swarmed
With sienna and yellow flakes, they elope.
The wind ever changing and harping it's song,
Not timid in it's sense and spirit.
Forever swiftly evolving it's trope,
From the whisper of dusk to the darkest of dawn.

One shade below hot pink crazy
lies the hue of the unreformed;
Sly malcontents always performed
One shade below hot pink crazy;
Instructions on living wildly
incited a shift when they swarmed;
One shade below hot pink crazy
lies the hue of the unreformed.

We braved the night and torn
into tomorrow your eyes concealed
deception my rapture captured
silence as my catholic beliefs
withered my spoken vows began
to fade you stood fast behold our
actions will cause harm we knew
that an yet temptation swarmed
my balanced virtue and there you
were calming my sinful nature
how dare you Adam placing your
temptress mind within my nature
I folded causing a sheer malice
an yet I shan't fear any remorse
I shall redeem the shadow kisses
beneath lucifers untimely hisses

Things taught black and things taught white
When I was young and caged,
Became a brilliant-colored quilt
When teens rushed through my age.
Things swarmed shadowed shades of gray
Once I turned middle-aged,
Then circled back to black and white
As I became a sage.

A few bones and the pelt are left,
buzzards took the rest.
No doubt, the stray
must have been weakened
by sickness.
The grass is very green around the remains,
a light dew refreshes vigorous blades,
the morning gleams.
If it had been summer
bugs would have swarmed the carcass already,
but on a fine day in November
the dead stand out,
clearly noticeable, impressed distinctly,
upon the land
by bright blue skies.

As the lightening rolled across the sky
My pain began to amplify
Alone I'd sit trying not to cry
Attempting to remain dignified
I use to believe it was because of the storm
That the lightening made the sorrow form
As the chaotic elements gathered and swarmed
The thunder came as if it warned.
Of days to come full of tension.
Of ways and words never mentioned.
A tangled up web of desention
Mistakes made without comprehension
The ache that made my arms draw up.
The startled gasp as thunder erupts.
The seering pain from loss was abrupt.
Thoughts and memories it would interrupt
As the storms passed and the pain withdrew
My heart ached was black and blue.
For all the days and nights that you never knew
That the storms I weathered, I weathered because of you.

Frog and elf at river’s edge
Did some square dancing on a ledge
Frog fell in and elf jumped on his back.
They rode around the pond without a snack.
I need some flies the frog finally begged.
The elf threw down and broke a rotten egg.
Flies swarmed the egg, and elf captured the flies.
Frog had a tasty treat, and was thrilled, no lies!
