Stars of Wonder

 Stars are a wondrous sight in the night 
They are a most dazzling precious light
Not only beautifying the sky
But guiding the way for you and I.

Dancing angels out in aerospace 
With fineness full of heavenly grace
Around the moon scattered stars align
In eyes they twinkle, purely divine.

Devoid of stars the nights would be dim
The man in the moon would lose his grin
Alone in the dark, no company 
No angels singing in harmony.

Stars were made as a stunning duo
From the all-powerful supremo
Starlight and moonlight go hand in hand
Beacons that glow on earth's grand bandstand.

Each star has a pattern of its own
That stays unidentified, unknown
They are there for folk to reach out to
With a way of making dreams come true.

Since Seeing Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

I saw a stupid movie just four years ago.
Will Ferrell starred in it, and he’s a funny guy..
The plot was so insipid I barely liked the show.
In Iceland it takes place, where Lars and Sigrit vie
with Eurovision singers in a contest with their song.
The movie played on Netflix during Covid times.
I listened and endured their vulgar “Ja Ja Ding Dong.” 
As I remember it, the dumb song kind of rhymes.

That film was this American's first and only taste
of a competition Europe likes a lot.
I’m sure this famous contest isn’t a huge waste
of time like that lame film that had me thinking “What??”
I bet that Eurovision is a wonderful event.
I even heard on Youtube this year’s winner Nemo
sing “The Code,” a catchy tune. My time was better spent
with “The Code” than the “Fire Saga.”  Nemo is supremo.

Merlin the Magic Cat

 Merlin The Magic Cat
Merlin is a most talented cat
From his magical wand spells he’ll cast
As for things he brings out of his hat
He's a supremo aristocrat. 

Merlin fell madly in love one day
With a kitty who’s named Lady Mae
Who’s as pretty as a rose bouquet 
Once smitten Merlin would never stray.

Merlin was fully out to impress
The cutest thing he’d seen on four legs
Her heart he so wanted to possess
To love and to care for in excess.

Merlin decided to cast a spell
To assist Lady Mae's heart to swell
So that together their souls would gel
The instant wizardry stardust fell.

Merlin waved his wand o’er the sweet miss
Her soft meow said she couldn’t resist
Purring gently she offered a kiss
In mystic joy of absolute bliss.

Merlin and Lady Mae made a vow
Heart-to- heart in fond meow, meow
To stay in love all their lives from now
Merlin knew he’d magic that, somehow.

Quando

Nessa e outras décadas
quando você não exige nada do mundo, 
quando não exige nada de Deus, 
quando você não quer nada, 
não busca nada, 
não espera nada, 
então o estado supremo chegará a você 
sem ser convidado ou esperado.

Não há etapas para a auto-realização. 
Não há nada gradual nisso. 
Acontece de repente e é irreversível. 
Assim como no nascer do sol, 
você vê as coisas como elas são, 
assim, na auto-realização, vê tudo como é. 
O mundo das aflições é deixado para trás.

I Make No Apologies

Forgive me not what comes out of my mouth
As for what I write down between these lines 
When it comes to my poetry, it’s as my shout
Poetic etiquette for me, I didn't see any signs 

With truly uplifting words to sorrowful lament 
To out of this world, or funnies, I have no end
Forever, scribbling away, until this pen is bent 
"Till my emotions are all well and duly penned

My poetry gets better as my spelling improves 
But as for grammar I'm afraid is still very poor
Still is nice when someone merits, or approves
For I am nothing more, than a sad poet whore

Love me, or hate me my words will continue on
So I make no apologies for what here is written
In my attempts to be a supremo, of a poet don
Because playing with all the words, I’m smitten

Dizem que 
a maior sabedoria 
e a expressão da realidade 
é tornar o desfrute 
do presente 
o supremo objetivo da vida
sendo todo o resto  jogo do pensamento. 

Reflita comigo: 
o desfrute 
do presente 
poderia ser chamado 
de a maior loucura:
ora,  aquilo que 
no momento seguinte 
não existe mais,
 e desaparece completamente,
 deve valer um esforço sério?

Quanto Custa

Preço a pagar

Um dia, 
se a humanidade
desenvolver uma raça de 
gênios e gênias
não seria progresso. 

O preço que gênios e gênias
por ser um intelecto supremo
tem que pagar
- a história nos mostra
é a total incapacidade 
de gentileza
de amizade, 
amor, 
paternidade 
maternidade
e 
muitas outras 
coisas desejáveis. 

Com certeza
uma geração de 
gênios e gênias 
será um fracasso; 
entretanto, 
como monstros 
será 
uma geração
soberba, literalmente.

Pavarrotti In China

I have listened and watched this concert;
It took my breath away.
Pavarrotti was quite magnificent,
Sensational some would say.

Mama was an instant hit,
Sang with passion and with pride.
Il Traviatti was supremo
and came from deep inside.

He sang so many famous works,
He had us all in tears:
O Sole Mio and Nessun Dorma,
Will live with us for years.

He was given many curtain calls,
They acknowledged what he'd done;
giving accolades of praise
to opera's greatest son!

Let Me Allow To Weep

LET ME ALLOW TO WEEP
CAUSE THERE IS A HUGE DAMAGE
THERE PAINS ARE TOO MORE TO THEM
LORD MY SUPREMO ALLOW ME TO WEEP

THEY ARE DYING IN THE WATER
THEIR KIDS ARE BEFORE THEM AS BODIES
THEIR HARD WORK 
IS GOING YES GOING AS WATER

THEIR PRAYERS 
THEIR CALLS TOWARDS THEIR LORD
WHY FAILED TO SAVE THEM

WHERE THEY HAVE GONE?
HIS MIGHTY SUPREME POWER 
AND HIS EXTRAORDINARY MIRACLES 

OH| MY LORD ALLOW US TO WEEP
IT IS IN OUR HANDS FOR BROTHERS
OUR TEARS MAY CHANGE THEIR PAINS
AND IT MAY CREATE A NEW HEAVEN
