I participate in a pro-democracy rally most every Saturday. The people who love D.T. sometimes pass by and let me know what they think. What makes them so angry and not willing to have a conversation? I support the immigration crackdown of violent criminals, but not arresting or deporting tax-paying hard working individuals we need to keep our economy in good shape. The proliferation of lies doesn't help either. Fact is, most of the support for Dick Tator comes from people who have no idea that his plan will move more of their money to to the very rich. LOL and Smiles!!

An anti-dictator demo
Prompts a mad autocrat's memo
What’s the final word?
Flipping me the bird...
And lying with El Supremo

Duke, dear friend. Your great limerick confronts authoritarianism and public opposition. It shows the foolishness and defiance of fighting an authoritarian system, culminating in a symbolic insurrection. The poem also describes a demonstration against a tyrant, showing the struggle between "El Supremo" and the people's discontent. Direct language like “flipping me the bird” conveys defiance and disrespect. The phrase "mad autocrat" describes repressive dictators' insanity and unpredictability.

Sharp and satirical—this limerick nails it! A clever jab wrapped in rhythm and wit. Bravo!

Hi Rowena, I've been very busy with life and regret not responding sooner. We have some very evil leaders at this point in time. These are times when I wish there was a hell, but they have some pretty rotten things happening inside their heads. So, despite their look of pleasure, they are really unhappy dudes and gals. Hope you are well!!

Jan...good suggestion. I am always pleased to hear from you. Have you seen any of the online material about how D.T. apparently has a bad smell? He's smelling more like fertilizer these days for some strange reason. Smiles!!

Hi Arthur, Many people loved Hitler and Mussolini at first. They ended up horrified after thinking it would be "great" at the beginning. We've seen many horrors autocrats and dictators on the left and right fostered throughout history. However, that's not enough to temper the enthusiasm some currently feel for an autocrat/narcissist. I'm willing to listen and take no offense from any personal attack. That was the point of this poem in the first place--it's kinda hard to have a constructive discussion when some prefer to drop bombs. There's no joy in Mudville.
