Poised-
Now It's Poisoned
Now Nothing...
Meaningless Trash.
My Poem Was Started
With A Laugh
But Something Else
Too.
I Forgot.
That's Funny.
I'm Glad It
Was... And I
Think I ...
Don't You Think
The Emptiness
You're Focusing
On Fulfilling...
Laughs Better
Than You Can
Possibly Remember?

bang, bang.
boom, boom.
ow.
the rifle bullets ripple and tear through the trenches.
bullets riddle my body, it hurts,
quiet literally, I'm in pain.
bullets run out in spurts.
fiery hot bullets rush my chest like a train.
ouch.
bullet ripping, running soldiers,
dodging bayonets, they raid our trench.
we run and hide behind a pile of boulders,
we camp 'til the end; rain downs the camp's drench.
dead.

Maybe someday I’ll be a super hero, maybe a drop of rain, but for now I am me and I can’t complain, I have to dig deeper, try harder be the best I can be, give with all my heart and love selflessly, for people are not perfect especially me…. Maybe someday I’ll be a super hero….
We were the USA all tried and true
red, white and blue in 1952
our archenemy, our nemesis was the USSR
we despised them
We were capitalism, they were communism
we kids knew that we needed to win the space race
there was much cheering for our astronauts
We thought we were ahead
Lots of propaganda said we were anyway
The Berlin Blockade and Cuban Missile Crisis were on the news
There were McCarthy trials for writers and actors in Hollywood
USA children were taught to despise the USSR
The USSR was our enemy; it was okay to hate them
We knew they were bad, even if we did not know how
The cold war did not include actual fighting
But it sure did include propaganda and espionage

Life challenges once I got old
Such balances as do as you’re told
Really ironic to me
How much I pee
A goal not to miss toilet bowl
flexibility is my super power
I am a willing changeling
eager to hear other’s ideas
and often embrace them
I am perpetually learning new things
readily incorporating new knowledge into my schemata
of course, this new information must fit into my main norms
be helpful, kind, fair, and trustworthy
If the new ideas do not fit into these categories
you will not see my super power
I am only flexible to a certain degree
SUPER SONNET
" Stretching the Boundaries of Imagination"
Doth protest in what is True, thence thou shall not Truly Live
than what is a Thorn to a Rose, when Love Permits
what is a Storm to a Ship that lists in the Ethers of Night
when Thy Darkness is contingent to Thy Light,
and Thy Flame that burns, shall it seize down to size
when Thy Pillars wither, yet Thy Convictions Strive
what is Thy Temple within that burns like Barrels of Fire
when the Great Celestial Consummation Aspires,
Doth, Fear Not, for the Stars Reap where Great Hearts Beat
and Great Dualities turn Obsolete,
and like Sunships that drift to Sunsets for that Sweet Kiss
only to find Thy True Amour from within,
Thus, a Super Sonnet is born by those Passions that Burn with Life
and Thy former Dispositions are left in Hindsight
baking is her super power
she makes scones and cupcakes by the hour
her name is Jan and baking is her game
in our small town, it brings her fame
give her flour, sugar, baking soda and salt
you cannot slow her down, she does not halt
she bakes up cakes, cookies, pies and such
we all love her products very much
yesterday she made lemon muffins that were a delight
today, not one remains, there are none in sight
her neighbors are thrilled with her, as are her kin
we all visit when baking smells come wafting in
plaiting my hair
tantamount to braiding three plastic slides
it is thick and unruly
with several minds of its own
determined to lash out in all directions
to prevent this catastrophe
when it gets long enough to ponytail
I put a rubber band around the ends
and use garden shears to lop off the length
sometimes breaking the shears

The kickoff hangs like a question mark~
sudden death rules apply.
Fourth down, and the play clock’s ticking
while the blitz crashes in, unblinking.
A Hail Mary arcs through the frozen dark,
a spiraling gamble against the sky.
The end zone waits, arms wide or stark~
did it catch? The crowd holds its reply…
super Sally never felt more powerful
the cape grandma made was perfect
what super powers did she have?
I can be invisible,
I can fly
I can make you do what I want
What super power are you using right now?
All three of them.
Can you get me a cookie?
Not if you are invisible
Super Bee buzzed into the hive
Zoomed past his cousins Lee and Clive
Yelled to the drones, “Come fly with me!”
They stopped and looked at the old Queen Bee.
Queen took exception to brash Super Bee.
Laughed at him with an evil tee-hee-hee.
He showed her his strength and power of three.
She walled him up into a dungeon with royal jelly.
All The Tricks
They Can Use
On All Super-Stars
Are More Easily
Used On You...
Can You Think
Of It? BOOM!
Marshmallows
Made From
Your Bones.
No Kryptonite
Necessary...
Unconditional Hatred
Is Super-Magical Too,
Come To Think
Of It.
Be Careful Up There,
Over There, Under There...
Heroes.

Love changes everything, words oh so true
My world changed as our family crew grew
Day by day for you sisters, love did grow
The loveliest sisters that one could know.
Sisters you completely captured my heart,
Nothing and no one could tear us apart.
That goes for all those who love you to bits
Especially your children and grandkids.
So bouncy and lively, zesty and bright,
That's the way you go on sailing through life
You light up a room, soon as you appear
True gifts to the world, so precious and dear.
May today and the days that come after
Be filled with abundant love and laughter
Every moment a moment to treasure
For sisters who bring life so much pleasure.
Never change from the women that you are
Dear sisters to me you are Super Stars.
Super Positioning
Power Full Rewarding
Uncertainty Amusing
Grateful Kisses
Shared And Missed
In Simultaneous Randomness.
