My ears are like nests,
the thrill of sound,
surround sound of
so many worlds
the dove and the jay
the phoebe, the robin
…so many flocks
I don’t need to unlock
the meaning, it stirs
my soul, sends me
My ears are like nests,
beaks opening, my chest
heaving, relieving
the images of night
the -mares reprieving
the warbler, the wren
the skylarks, the sparrows
…so many flocks
In the Spring, to walk
upon the buoyant breath
of endless pines and oaks
to soak in the red breast
its soulful chest
rising and falling
My ears are like nests
the trill of sounds
awakening, stirring
the crown, rejoicing
in hope, succoring
With my Saviour* succoring my soul
I stand strong in His might
since He knows that
I need Him
in my:
Sufferings along
…pain
Sorrows with
…persecutions
Sacrifices and
…pressures
Sadness midst
…pleas
Struggles due to
…problems
Sickness in health
…plight
Selfishness upon
…pride
Shame caused by
…poverty
Sinfulness toward
…peril
Slothfulness for
…penury

Blissful worship* to the Creator subdues arrogance
Vanquishing worldliness-vanity
Humbling me from self-esteem’s dominance
To praise Him midst His holiness-beauty.
Joyous worship toward the Lord grants spiritual might
Cheering me from discouragements’ infirmities
Brightening my commitment to shine in His light
Succoring me against human frailties.
Glad worship for the Saviour upholds blessed stewardship
Enabling my sincere obedient willingness
Offering to me His divine friendship and warm fellowship
For servant-heart’s fruitful faithfulness.

Desirous dust devils dance for a glowing gold god,
withering winds wandering whither they wish.
Silenced as shadows stretch, silhouetting strange shapes,
elongated ellipses etching the expansive emptiness.
Quickly cooling, the sunset slathers the sky in carnelian colors.
Deep desert darkness descends, a moonless diaphanous dome.
Looming above us, the luminous universe lifts our eyes aloft.
A celestial shining so supreme it spawns starry shadows,
succoring our unsatisfied souls in its empyrean embrace...
The watcher waits...
A solitary kernel for lack of succoring nurture aggrieved
From sun's warm caresses seasonally bereaved
With wind's chilling strides constantly plucked, heaved
Lying on fallowed ground whose cloak now desleaved
With frigid mantle over frostbitten spine weaved
Nutrient-rich pores of their cultivating provender relieved
As brittle husk to its fibrous moorings tightly cleaved
So coarse grains to earthen crevices, pockets sheathed
Dormant, but from bludgeoned shell will not secede
Nor Summer's bountiful harvest deed
A sparse, unfurnished bed temporarily bequeathed
Until providentially-rendered elements have new life breathed
Still yet, creator hath numbered all and due rations perceived
Until Spring's availing tides have Winter's corroded channels reprieved
And life's, generating tenants from their frozen prisons freed
In silted apron blossoms baby
Incubating heat fondles canopy
From leafy trellis sprouts progeny
With briny tears, warmth grows quickly
Acorn melded to fertile tree
Succoring streams flow freely
Ballasted perch shared dutifully
Fragile shell tendered stem's realty
Paternal arms clasp twig-end tightly
Structural beams foster stability
Nutrients funnel expanding the cavity
Well-rounded hull with shared identity
Truant winds the bond doth atrophy
Shaking strands that clutch lovingly
Ripening acorn longs new vistas to see
With heavy heart falls from caring tree
Dry, barren ground leaches each gratuity
Rotting leaves fondle exterior incessantly
Surface ambitions soiled by limited mobility
Predatory marauders pilfer each, bright opportunity
Acorn will not stray far from security
Paternal shadow hovers patiently
With overarching wings shield calamity
During trials, trickle down tears of empathy
In captive terra firma blind,
Blossoming hopes not divined
Maker's implanted design,
Awaiting the elements to mine
To dark, seamless crevice assigned,
With burrowing predator aligned
No airy expanse in which to unwind,
To ventilated pocket resigned
No preening hand to mind;
In brackish granules twined
No spade, hoe utility to grind,
In earth's, dark womb enshrined
Nor sun's rays green pigments bind;
Incubating warmth in silted brine
Only providential, succoring lifeline,
Until new seedling bursts its rind
Basking in the beauty that is the night
Lovers embrace within dreams delight
Thoughts intertwine in each other’s arms
Succoring peacefulness, knowing no harm
A blissful respite from this earthly realm
Where worries smother and life overwhelms
Reconnecting thru wanderings in depths of slumber
For it’s here spirits thrive in time unencumbered
Bereft of warmth and succoring provender
But girded with the fortitude providence doth tender
Internal compass the charted course doth render
Steeled to navigate rough skies with built-in aerometer
Dislodged flocks flying south for winter
A winged armada pushing through shearing blender
Swirling masts soar into celestial splendor
In gallant ranks parade o'er corroding timber
In tight formations to withstand every passing rigor
Skirting every obstacle human craft can engender
Gliding through the availing winds, an astute orbiter
Life breaks on a tenuous shoal
Heartaches vex shipwrecked
soul
Rocky outcrop slashing at
each, bleached sole
In choppy waters, teetering
mast o'er limp body doth troll
Peering into foggy abyss,
undulating currents of angst so
droll
Hope wanes as tearful waves
from calcified funnels roll
Briny mist over resonant
dreams doth scroll
Tides dredge seaweed earlier
missteps did dole
On the horizon, clouded visions
turning black as coal
From a distant, but reachable,
harbor a fog light doth patrol
But encroaching shadows
eclipse as endearing fate doth
cerebrally cajole
Faint sound from a beckoning
barge doth wandering ears
enroll
But the boisterous waves of
doubt resound a dreary toll
Cresting above life's
sorrows, in the distant ocean
a succoring atoll
But shackling cares girdle my
feet pulling me into the
undertow
A dry, temporal sanctuary in
my corroded senses to stroll
Morphing into insane mirage
as the angry torrents
remaining wits poll
A succoring dew around your hearth lays
To water your carefree, idle days
On your beauty sunspilt beams gaze
A nurtured value to appraise
In the availing breeze your mast sways
Gallantly swaggering in the afternoon haze
Your gilded petals a coiffed maze
Snowy dander your dainty folds doth glaze
A fragrant perfume distilled in fertile phase
Doting bees on your succulent nectar do graze
Love blossomed in the darkest night
Morn's gilding beams to spite
Night Primrose preened by tender blight
Sphinx moth soft tips caress; sugary nectar slight
Perfumed aroma doth prating, intoxicated courtier incite
Glazed petals with dewy fans stream delight
Golden cup a succoring bosom from which passions alight
Delicate, cream veil eclipses pallid, stolid moonlight
With availing breeze your dreamy parasol on Cupid's wings takes flight
Hoary sun now trolls the availing sky
Radiant lamp gilding all who under its shade lie
Golden streams of light kindle hearth on high
Burning parasol fans its flames warming all that draw nigh
A fiery portent to all who under its horizon fly
Spreading thermal blanket its spawning heat to re-apply
Through porous seams sultry beams ply
Silty founts it doth bleach then dry
Scorching leafy tents that on its succoring warmth doth rely
Streaming with misty vapors, earth's boiling caldron doth gurgle and sigh
Sending convecting currents across earth's table, its residual steam to pry
Jealously blanching the darker hues that with its mercurial splendor doth vie
Bartered memories with lust twined
Truant souls that could never bind
Carnal fancies solemnly pined
Exchanged for fealty and left behind
Hopes sacrificed; dreams resigned
Narcissistic bridges burned; amorous harbors mined
Walking along life's highway blind
Stumbled upon fertile path with opportunities lined
Fateful suitor my longing footsteps divined
Heart that was broken now realigned
Faithful partner with noble intentions my will refined
A succoring ally of the nurturing kind
Now carnal treasures canker in the dark; steadying rays of love
have shined
Courting your affectionate attention
Christening your passionate collateral
Culling each carnal, steamy glance
Collapsing into your succoring arms
Clinging to your tender embrace
Clutching your writhing, trembling body
Clasping each fawning, fleating breath
Curdling each salivating kiss
Collating hands to travel amorous course
Coordinating every alluring touch
Careening into each savory fold
Coalescing at every bleating part
Carefully probing every throbbing pore
Cheerfully sharing each rapturous sensation
