The rose of summer has no nose
Only releases it scent for mankind
As its fragrant blossoms grow
Releasing their scent well defined
Only available to insects and man
Those are enjoyed through nose and eyes
God gave to highest creation of His plan
Man has won the gift of God's prize
Thank you, God, for a sense of smell
The gift of good vision
Five senses God has given as well
So merciful His decision
Having trouble again with stuffiness, breathing and sense of smell. I know the pollen's scent draws insects in to pollinate the flowers.

I'm a teenager in a convent boarder's uniform, wool coat buckled tight.
Brother a college student in town, both heading home for the weekend. Holding tight to his waist, leaving all stuffiness behind as we speed off on his motorbike.
green fields fly by us
we will take the back roads home
rebels with a cause

When the sniffles invade
And your nose is a'drip,
You must catch what comes out
'Fore it gets to your lip.
In the case of a child
With some oozing-out issue,
It's up to the nana
To wipe with a tissue...
Or mommy or daddy
Or grandpa or sitter.
Whoever's around can't be
Known as a quitter.
Since stuffiness looks for
A way to break free,
I keep tissue in hand
Like was once done for me.
