Premium MemberThe Ice-Cream Truck

The ice-cream truck went way too fast
The driver landed on the mast
Ice-cream strown everywhere
Please, please, please don't despair
Screams weren't long or antispast

Loss of a Tom Cat Friend and Defender of the Bluebird Box

Squirrel plays and shakes
a fist atop the bluebird box....
twelve round stones

Blue feathers strown
empty nesting box today...
old man Tom rest

Fall's Beginning

- featuring Sara Kendrick

The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
Crinolines on horizon with gown
Early zephyr cool and air wrung dry
The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
A start to a wonderful day birds cry
Leaves in places now caramel brown
The Easter dresses strown across morn's sky
Crinolines on horizon with gown

---

We walk the green fern garden range
We sit and stare and tease our eyes
Emotions flow with my Easter dress so strange
Easter morn vocals came within range
We’re dancing, like leaves that rearrange
I twirl my gown to fly with the skies
Angel dust travels swiftly in the open range
Clouds fall vividly on my gown like crinolines disguise!

My Roman Ruins

My Roman Ruins

you are my rome,
all roads lead home to you

the ruins of my destruction
on the rounding patchy earthen grounds
strown with stiff marble columns
that have long ago cracked and crumbled
and into several broken pieces
by the hand of a violent man

signs of the holy catholic trinity
stand everywhere
yet there's no holy space
where I find the comfort that I need
to rest my weary head

bleached bones and skulls
with sullen hollow spaces
hide in deep tunnels under the ground
continue to haunt me in my sleep
as the towering roman aquaducts
remind me of the mighty powers
that fell from grace years ago

the via appian way spreads
far and wide to many places
destroying forces that
blocked their armies way
on it's broken bricked path
I trod through my sunny days
and my dark loney nights

yet no matter how hard I fight
to move my sandled feet far away from you
my warped brain keeps
directing it's seizing waves to
cherished memories of your
youthful tanned roman face

So I Can Fly

Travel deep into the recesses of the mind
A Place far away. Gentle and Kind
Fear not while on the Galaxy ride
Far, far away where waters have no tide
Because there's no such thing as time
Beyond reality where the stars so shine
With a snap of a finger and blink of an eye
Metal and wires lying all strown by and by
Built itself magically under an ominous sky
Right there before me what do I spy
A ship that goes into space so I can fly
