Stony Poems

The stony wall of freedom

On the stony wall laid the handprints of heroes;
Their bloody prints serving as a reminder of the past
Their fight for freedom was a rocky journey
With the air mixed with the scents of blood and gun powder and the little voices of freedom in them
They fought for their country even though victory was lacking on their side.
Their hardwork, courage, determination and faith helped them through their journey
At the end of the day, even if they didn't win,
They knew their efforts had made a great change for their country.
The wall that separated their land and their enemy's land was that stony wall;
The wall where their handprints laid,
Paved way for their country to continue to fight for freedom and to not let their efforts go to the drain.

A Stony Place To Sing

Eyes in a half-opened gaze
Catching their breath after hacking up sea water
Reflections of the sun bouncing as they bob

'To sing' clearly defined next to my name
I embodied melodic movements and spoke in song
I hypnotized people with my garden of a heart
Each vine enveloping them in rhythmic laughter

Eventually you trapped me in this stony place
Moss hiding secrets of truth and misperceptions
I slip every time my pruney soles try to climb out
As my body skids, I can hear the garden's song
It's song sends me back to before I was conscious

Maybe that little girl is still here
I know my family still holds onto her memory
She teases them through a song, a joke, a story
And they become convinced she has returned
Picking warm cherry tomatoes, saving dying worms
Performing monologues without an audience

For a moment, I am in the heart of the garden
Eventually, it begins to drizzle and I slip
I trip over the vines that once carried me
And, once again, I am washed back to the stony place

Premium MemberStony Swells

waves of ash
in agonizing gaps
at the water's edge
They scream wildly

like an anxious sea sprite,
foaming out the,
mysterious misery of mind

On that terrible twilight
the sun suffused irrated streaks

with scorching sympathy

to lift up a dejected sea

I observed
seas of silken saffron swelled in
spunky surges!

Stony Staircase

Walk out to ocean, this stony pathway,
Folk story declare, twas a snakes byway.
Climbed from sea, wormed onto the hidden cave,
Men explored and commune, the knowledge crave,
This legend lives on, even to this day!

Along the horizon, dawn caught away,
Rides in with glory, it's mystic gateway.
Morning shines hope on, the soul of each brave,
Walk out to ocean.

Mist rises, the ocean hides the door way,
Relish the cold evening, welcome skies grey,
The lava flow stairway, the surf well lave,
Presents a view, foretell of gifts we save.
The moon radiates rich, dream day can't stay,
Walk out to ocean!

Stony Guest

A marble is framing his face
The emerald fire's in eyes
And lips do not scream through the days
The feelings will die they won’t rise.
He has stony heart and it beats
So still and it’s making you nap
It seems he’s protected with shields
The abyss is calling in trap.

Oh yes I have no one to love
My temper is not thing to tame
It’s wrong tell me why that’s enough
It’s sad that the truth is my name.
I know it’s not time for the blind,
But knowledge can give only woes
My heart is enslaved by my mind
It’s stony it hears no your call.

And if death take off my heart beat
From chest that is cold that is numb
Granite will be put on granite
The ways can’t be read on my palm.
My heart will be deaf it still saves
The cruelty in cold empty chest
Forgive me, but love has no place
And you still have your stony guest.

Tempests That Eat Upon Stony Shores

There lay hidden- shadows in a great storm
tempest that eats upon this stony shore.
Night hiding devils wrecking such great harm
destroying in our hearts we most adore!

Waves crash into massive rocks that so shield
playgrounds of ivory sanded beaches.
Harsh winds beating the flowers in bright field
all are savaged as its darkness reaches!

Memories hold that we pray remains safe
glow of beauty existing hours before.
Fast stormy missiles blast all as they strafe
wrecking hell and destruction ever more!

Save our souls, we deeply, earnestly pray.
Give this gift, so we can see light of day!

Note-This poem was written by me back in early 90's.
I decided to bring it from my private journal and
present it here with a very minor edit.
In the last verse, I changed the word "joy" to --"gift"..

A Stony Bridge In Nature

A stony path,
A little stone bridge,
A place full of history,
To feel the spirit of the ancient times,
Just to have a look on the antique lifestyle!
***
A stone masterpiece has crossed the centuries
A stone art piece is now proof of the savoir-faire of past
A stone bridge, a vestige of the past, present
And future human intelligence!
***
So, nature is a place full of art and beauty:
A perpetual pleasure!

Stony Heart

My heart hurts
I feel this sinking feeling
Like I can’t go on
I have this sometimes randomly
When I have a stony heart
It hurts to talk
I can’t talk
I feel so down
It is so random
I can’t explain it
I hate having a stony heart
Your negative comments don’t help
I feel this darkness in my soul
Whenever I see the night
I feel this sinking feeling
I have felt it all my life

Stony Tombs Are Ahead

Stony tombs are ahead
Monuments of bygone days
Each with its own secret
Ready to unfold
Carved on a marble grave
Words charged with sorrow:
“Here lies a lover”
“One who loved and lost”
“One whose heart ceased to beat”
“One whose love ceased to die”
Carved on a black grave
Words of gloom and horror:
“Here lies a man”
“Here lies a beast”
“One who knew not love”
“One who burnt in lust”
“Who stained beauty”
“Who slew virtue”
“One who died in pain”
“One who lived in vain”
Carved on a silver grave
Words of sweet nature:
“Here lies a girl”
“Here lies an angel”
“One who loved, was loved”
“One delved in purity”
“One not matched in beauty”
“One whose lover died”
“One who lost her innocence”
“One who killed her love”
“One who knew not loyalty”

A Stony Heart

A stony heart and my pain,
Fights together for a gain,
They thunder as clouds,
They spark as lightening pods.
They burn their pain,
They eat always sustain.
They blame eachother,
And broken their feather.
From childhood to olds,
They struggle for bolds.
They never learn a lesson,
Argument is their fashion.
They put pressure on them,
They like each other’s trim.
They never understand,
A fact of life’s brand.
They lost their peace,
And patience in a race.
What will we achieving?
If nothing takes a person dying.
They never compromise,
But both are wise.
They plan always peace.
But they like it to freeze.
