Playing With Matches
We wired kids drank coffee
in Kroger's and stoled fire
and cigarettes. We were free.
Hoses doused a funeral pyre.
We kissed girls felt fears
something like young desire,
warmth we'd chase for years.

Turn the pages of a book
begin to read not just look
words speak to your mind
pictures and thoughts combine
Like a movie your eyes read
the story captures tantalizingly feeds
turn those pages absorbing more
being provoked, reading to explore
Wonders and myths, fables and rhymes
mysteries histories knowledge divine
Adventures, thrillers, humor and romance
suspense drama horror for you to enhance
Fairytales, detective, westerns to boot
adult to children with pirates of loot
Pages informing who, what, why, when and how
Pages showing back then to right now
Pages marveling of a future new
Pages of words felt written just for you
Pages of faith, of hope of love true
Pages of fear, sorrow of all evil do
From fiction to fact, black letters on white
woven into words reading pages that delight
Simple words expressed, excite and expose
Words that ignite liberty leading tyrants disposed
Some books are banished some are burn
for fear of the words they teach and learn
But the pages that touch our souls
these books with ideas that can never be stoled

My soul's amber light filters my memory's wellspring
shining on a thread woven through the stillness of time
there on the closest edge of yesterdays
we meet again
you, forever young and beautiful
as we watched the sunset
tossing pennies in a stream, making wishes of our dreams
laughing like children while counting fireflies
who invaded our silent evening
stars arrived with their star-light glows
as we sought freedom's imagination
of glorious realms from long ago
you said you were a Queen being held for ransom
and I a Knight who would rescue you
from a castle of pagan warriors
soft kisses stoled our adventure
and brought us back to sweeter senses
where love chained us to its moors
you are the love that stays in my heart
you are the enduring yesterday
before our time dwindled away into separate tomorrows
to become a lovely memory

When hope no longer sustains us
and all that's left is debris
scattered across the landscape of our heart
When terrible winds of angry storms
cloak blue skies in a frightening rush of darkness
and nothing is left to the eyes but a scar of despair
etched in the stunned silence of our tired faces
as we search for yesterday's sun
among dawn's gleaming light
trapped between the cycle of black ominous clouds
from our emotional hurricane of constant howling screams
that broke the bonds of love away from its moors
and brought finality to fingers parting
while still clinging until the last through the storm
as it stoled our memories of when we were warm together
leaving us alone and exhausted

You were a thief, with a potter's worn wheel
stoled with artist's hands
what your eye demands
and claimed every lover's mould you could steal
to be washed away
with your potter's clay
and the pots love formed, from your lover's zeal
when the fire grew old
and the kiln turned cold
every clump of their clay, that you would repugn
you would darken the floor, with lovers you'd strewn
all that was, is now gone
With each counted tear, that rolled down a face
that's now a long line
a faded design
read through the night with memory's embrace
of deep tearful sleep
when hearts felt so cheap
for love is a cruel game, played always by one
in times of your lost soul, and only for fun
to never account, for the sadness you've done
all that was, is now gone
what's left to look upon?

Now don't you cry, I'll tell you why
I come'n home real soon
Just look up at the sky, the stars will get us by
I may be half a world away, but never left your side
It's with you I'll abide
And you will be my bride
Remember how I pledged my love to thee
You stoled my heart and set it free
Don't think that this foreign war
Can keep me from my quest
Returning to our nest and giving you my best
Just close your eyes and feel the breeze
It's my hands touching you
And when my time is through
There'll only be us two
But just for now, pretend I'm holding you
This late at night, it's what I always do

Betrayed and deceive thats what my marriage brought me
A man who couldn't see me for who I am
A friend who took me in and wounded me
A fool I was to think he would ever be true too me.
Everything I did was in vain
He caused me so much pain
He left my heart with a great stain
Now all I see is the rain.
I am so tired of playing the love game
Love and marriage were meant to go hand in hand
Instead bitterness, resentment and heart hardness rides the hall way of my soul
Father can you hear me.
I am broken, hurt and angry
He stoled my heart
Shattered my dreams
Brought tears to the eyes of our babies.
Left me for dead
Father can you hear me
My heart is cold
My thoughts are cruel.
Revenge weighs heavy on my mind
Emmanuel hear my cry
Come to my aid
Rescue me from myself.
Elohim my creator
Show compassion on me
Deliver me from my own actions
Teach me how to avoid causing anyone any pain.
Lead me into the light
That my days upon this earth will be fruitful and bright
Let all that I do from this day forth be for Christ
Show me lord how to go out with a great big bang.

HE HISSED ME
HE KISSED ME
HE FONDED MY LOVE IN HASTE
MY HEART BETROTHED
MY LOVE HE STOLED
HIS AURO OF FRIGHTENING DESIRES
MY MIND HE NOURISHED TO DIE
MY SELF CONSCIENCE INTO A SLEEP
FADING AWAY IN MY COMA
MY REMAINS HE KEPT UNDER,
A OLD ABANDONED BRIDGE

It's not what we lost amongst the ashes and smoke,
It's what we found in the air all around.
As we watched the smoke out the windows roll'
And all the glass on the ground.
God sent comfort from our neighbors all around.
Though we have many empty wall
Where different things once hung.
There is apresence around that you can not mistake.
Though deep in our hearts there was heartaches and pain'
And rivers of tears came splashing down upon the ground'
God's presence was all around.
It was as we knelt down upon the floor
To cradle the dogs whom the fire had stoled
That I received my greatest awakening.
For I understood , it really wasn't what we lost,
It was more what he saved and truely what we gained.
For now I know down deep inside'
I Could loose it all and still have everything I will ever need.
As long as he dwells in me, he dwells where ever I am,
As long as he guides my every step and leads me on
My journey through Heaven's Golden Gate
At the end of my lifes days and I sit in his presence for evermore.

In justification marked on its pivotal blank page yet fully intact
Gone our the days to frolic in a haze
We tend to vomit on each others neck
In regret with sore vent Vlad Impolaric ways
Liar
You stoled my heart then ran the distant mile away
Filtered in the mass hysteria with tiny nerves to sway
No shelter to cry we all fall for the lie
The liar is in us all
A peril excuse to next abuse
With a tug at the heart vanquished to even run the final mile
A jewel of the Nile with glasse cracked in desolation
Straight to Hell on your next vacation,
Surfing the videos on the web
What the Hell is going on inside our head?
Sweltering heat with bloodshed in our street,
The mind falters then crys with an ellusive side
Faltering critics in darkened demise having fins for teeth
Shattered in the wind six times then we begin again.

Black and grey, white decends the hymn of heaven, we fell for fools in this game, we lost
with prideless toughts, show me how long does it take to die, my wishes are below the earth
we walk, mother of Jesus, mother of all hells, mother of Lucifer, mother of all heavens, we
have stoled the queen of heaven, we have torned her name and slipt her troath, we are the
devils of our gods, we sin for pretty pleasures, bring this to my knees and spit to my face
the evening i die, family of faceless childs, I have stolen the evidence of this hollowed story,
that for now we decend this devils apetite to cruel oblivion...
For the one i once confied...

A song won't let you soon forget
Those moments and memories that just will not rest
Tugging your hearts strings and keep putting you to the test
Pressing on your very soul
Until you give in and let it all take absolute control
Your dreams in the present tense by them will be stoled
Cause as of yet your future with him has to go still a bit longer untold
Time has taken and yet still continues to take more and more moments and memories that
with him I need and want ever so much
Places in time that's slipping on by where I should have his touch
Faith is what I try so hard to keep
Tears I want no longer to weep
I can now be strong where in my life before I was week
Smiling about what he and I had is now my choice, crying from these eyes no no it will not
seep
When I now close my eyes to sleep
I wish upon a star
That whoever he's with, oh where ever you are
I hope you remember those songs that remind you that I'm always with you and your heart
well it's telling you there's no place that far

Take back the nights that you stoled from me. You forced me to do things that I
never wanted to do. They haunt me all the time. The terror I endure when I walk
outside, I worry that you will find me and be waiting to hurt me yet again. I will
never forgive you for what you have done to me. I am your daughter not your wife
you have no right to violate me the way you have. When any one talks about rape
or molestation I break down and cry. It has been almost four years now daddy yet
what you did to me still lingers in the back of my mind. I do my best not to think of
it but trust me I will never forget it. No matter how many times you apologize when
you actually can have contact with me I will not forgive you. By blood you are my
father but by law and by me you are nothing to me. I refuse to claim you as my
father. For my father would not have forced me to do those kinds of things. Take
back the nights that you ruined my life.

Li'l Angels, Child-aged old
Long time, lost out in the cold
Like clay were you shaped into a mold
Of What Not To Be, after you by Momma had been told
Now, for your safe return, We must be bold
Although, the rainbow's end lacks a pot of gold
On the idea that it's a loss, should We not be sold
Ordering the Authorities more areas patrolled
As if fate in Our hands is controlled
Wanting back What from Us had been stoled
Despite, it could cause Our heads to be swolled
But, for this should it be life without parole
The conviction made based on the Windows of the Soul
For it hurts MEMORY LANE being strolled
Repeatedly, taken on Our hearts a toll
Not having Our child, in arms to hold

Everyday, I come to the same cafe.
Where we met a couple of years ago.
I ponder, and wonder.
What you are doing over yonder?
If you ever knew of the love that you once stoled.
Of the passion that still burns within my heart.
A part of me that you took for granted so much.
As I felt a feather like touch.
From my book, I took a look.
and there you stood.
Staring into your eyes, the windows to your soul.
I knew you still cared, and loved me so.
If truths would be told, our love never grew old.
So why should we deny what we feel inside?
As I remmaniece about my newfound bliss,
You surprised me with a warm, passionate kiss.
