When hope no longer sustains us
and all that's left is debris
scattered across the landscape of our heart
When terrible winds of angry storms
cloak blue skies in a frightening rush of darkness
and nothing is left to the eyes but a scar of despair
etched in the stunned silence of our tired faces
as we search for yesterday's sun
among dawn's gleaming light
trapped between the cycle of black ominous clouds
from our emotional hurricane of constant howling screams
that broke the bonds of love away from its moors
and brought finality to fingers parting
while still clinging until the last through the storm
as it stoled our memories of when we were warm together
leaving us alone and exhausted

With His Six Shooter In Hand He Emptied Its Load

In a whiskey glazed stupor his horse he shot
Under blue-wailing moon his heart, a broken mess
And then his emotions tossed in their sad lot
Somewhere with lost hope, his failures he did confess
But as image appears, her beautiful face smiles
She, kind goddess that had stolen his lonely heart
Over and over, the argument -always starts
And then the swarms of excruciating deep pains
Fight to make it leave, his eyes look to the blue sky
Silently these words he says, "My Lord help me please"
Falling to dusty ground, he asks again the why
Did God allow that beautiful witch his heart seize
Then romantic thoughts flooded a confused brain
Her dear vision so enticed and refused to leave
It all was far too much, far too great a love-strain
Next how she had him, ready to again deceive!
But oh no, not again, his intellect then spoke
Do not let this dark, deceptive thing again hurt
Recall this truth, she had made his life a bad joke
Remember torture, the loss, her poison black spurts
And how she laughed as his tender heart she broke!

The cowboy then rose on up from the desert sand.
Swearing true, she and this are both accursed land!
Mounting his horse towards Tombstone onward he rode
Swearing, never let his wounded heart be "stoled"!
Then a broad smile so magically it appeared
Up the trail just head vision of her as he feared!
With his six shooter in hand, he emptied its load
And laughed out loud, as on
to Tombstone he rode!

Robert J. Lindley, Rhyme/Narrative
April 12th 1982

Note: Edit.. Nov 21st 1983
The young cowboy made it all the way to Tombstone
His young life was then about to meet pretty girl
She too was standing proudly there and all alone
Fate decreed it, they joined to give life a whirl!

A Simple Girl

A simple girl

She looks likes vanilla ice cream
Her lips are cotton candy sweet
And the dust turns to sugar
When it touches her feet

Her eyes is green as the ocean
And her smile has light up the world
Her heart's so full of passion
And still she says she’s a simple girl

They say the birds comes close
To hear her voice when she’s talking
And the sun follows her everywhere
When she’s out side walking

and Just one look at her
And my heart been stoled
She, s an angel sends down from heaven
And still she says she’s a simple girl

Some say she’s like the modern
Florence Nightingale of yesterday
she treats them with so much kindness
Her patients at the hospital's say

Sometimes she wears at night
a fleece top when she’s cold
and left me up when I'm feeling down
And still she thinks she’s a simple girl

If they miss everything wonderful
And all that is sweet
And all the stars from the heavens
She,s Got it all at her feet

And she is so kind to every one
she got a heart of gold
She has my whole life in her hands
And still she says she’s a simple girl

She cares so much for everyone
she goes to the senior centers home
and she listen to their stories
of glory days when they was young

And oh how I love her so
She is my heart and soul
She is everything to me
And still she says she’s a simple gir

Missing/Exploited Children

Li'l Angels, Child-aged old
Long time, lost out in the cold
Like clay were you shaped into a mold
Of What Not To Be, after you by Momma had been told
Now, for your safe return, We must be bold
Although, the rainbow's end lacks a pot of gold
On the idea that it's a loss, should We not be sold
Ordering the Authorities more areas patrolled
As if fate in Our hands is controlled
Wanting back What from Us had been stoled
Despite, it could cause Our heads to be swolled
But, for this should it be life without parole
The conviction made based on the Windows of the Soul
For it hurts MEMORY LANE being strolled
Repeatedly, taken on Our hearts a toll
Not having Our child, in arms to hold

Listen Child

Make no doubt, it was not something just given.
This good life that I am now livin’
It is one that I have earned.
Mostly through the hardest lessons learned.
Worked from daylight to dusk,
And at night rocked cryin’ babies who fussed.
Done things I didn’t know I could do.
Somehow we always managed to get through.
I’ve poured out my heart and tears,
Kissing their heads and quiting their fears.
I’ve poured out my own blood and sweat.
I’ve worried, stressed and fret.
Spent sleepless nights over a sick baby’s bed.
Rocking her and stroking her head.
Busted my butt, and broke my back
To get a step ahead and pick up the slack.
And I’m trying to show them the way,
One gets mad and the other whines.
But you fit it in between dinnertime and deadlines.
And so you see, it runneth over my cup.
The laundry and dishes, pile up.
Trying to make ends meet, it’s just day to day.
Getting it all done, you just find a way.
But it’s far better than the life I had.
They are a little ungrateful, but I guess I’m glad.
They’ve never been with out a coat,
Despite the whinning of it’s so cold.
And no they have never eaten food that
They had stoled. No, they have never even
Missed a meal, true hunger they will never
Feel. No they don’t know how good
They have it, it is true.
And I pray to God they never do!

The Beauty of Princess C.D.

LCan a man truly know beauty if he fails to behold the natural beauty
within your precious heart? How shall i dance with the twinkling of the
stars and romance the illuminating moon, if I dare not dream the dreams
of tasting the ripen fruits of your blissfulness?

Let me be a wandering man of madness if I should ever not acknowlege
the mesmerzing joy, charm, intellect, and beauty within your mind, body,
and soul.

For my darling C.D., it be those sweet attributes of yours that cause my
sleep to sustain its self, because of seeing you in my dreams from time
to time.

I race like a gazelle to behold your naturalness. i become this quiet lion
in the wake of your defence. I become patience to know and to love your
innermost thoughts and asperations. Yes, my darling, never will I engage
in folly to behold you. Never will I become weak if I shall never taste your
sacred love. Never will I ignore you should I be not worthy of your
fruits of your royal garden of bliss.

For I shall be as I was before I ever encountered you, yet I shall weep
within should you abandon the quest of these sentimental thoughts
of authenticity. Thus was the love of Lady C.D., the radiant princess
which stoled my heart and moved my love to be inside her love.

"we Stoled Heavens Queen"

Black and grey, white decends the hymn of heaven, we fell for fools in this game, we lost
with prideless toughts, show me how long does it take to die, my wishes are below the earth
we walk, mother of Jesus, mother of all hells, mother of Lucifer, mother of all heavens, we
have stoled the queen of heaven, we have torned her name and slipt her troath, we are the
devils of our gods, we sin for pretty pleasures, bring this to my knees and spit to my face
the evening i die, family of faceless childs, I have stolen the evidence of this hollowed story,
that for now we decend this devils apetite to cruel oblivion...

For the one i once confied...

Sleep

HE HISSED ME
HE KISSED ME
HE FONDED MY LOVE IN HASTE
MY HEART BETROTHED
MY LOVE HE STOLED

HIS AURO OF FRIGHTENING DESIRES
MY MIND HE NOURISHED TO DIE
MY SELF CONSCIENCE INTO A SLEEP
FADING AWAY IN MY COMA
MY REMAINS HE KEPT UNDER,
A OLD ABANDONED BRIDGE

Premium Member Thief In the Night

Thief in the night that stole my heart
Shot me with your poisoned dart
Took from me against my will
Be careful of that which you steal

Why do you have to be so obtuse?
Do you really think I like the abuse?
Dangling your promises on a thin straw
Promises broken there should be a law

Bragging about what you once had
But you sold it all off, man what a drag
If it wasn't sold you claim it was stoled
Stole or sold your statement seems bold

Always thinking everyone owes you
Them owing you is not always true
It's a sense of entitlement
that emanates from you

What are you doing people aren't dumb
You about as predictable as the morning sun
Searching for fault in everyone you meet
Pointing your finger is far from discreet

There's a darkness in you that stains your soul
When you stand in the light it casts its shadow
What does it take to get through to you?
Yet every so often a bright light shines through

My wish for you is your demons be gone
I wouldn't wish them upon anyone
Your perception of things is slightly skewed
Paranoid and delusional no one is out to get you

Ripple in time like a rock skipping in a lake
Tiny bubbles could result in a wake
Or it could smooth itself into calm - A flat surface likened unto a pond
There is a shadow inside you called ego and pride
causing a quake from which you can't hide

Getting rid of the demon would be most wise
Before it consumes you and becomes your demise
The light that's within you now will abound
No longer blind you see light all around

A Prayer of Hope:

Betrayed and deceive thats what my marriage brought me
A man who couldn't see me for who I am
A friend who took me in and wounded me
A fool I was to think he would ever be true too me.

Everything I did was in vain
He caused me so much pain
He left my heart with a great stain
Now all I see is the rain.

I am so tired of playing the love game
Love and marriage were meant to go hand in hand
Instead bitterness, resentment and heart hardness rides the hall way of my soul
Father can you hear me.

I am broken, hurt and angry
He stoled my heart
Shattered my dreams
Brought tears to the eyes of our babies.

Left me for dead
Father can you hear me
My heart is cold
My thoughts are cruel.

Revenge weighs heavy on my mind
Emmanuel hear my cry
Come to my aid
Rescue me from myself.

Elohim my creator
Show compassion on me
Deliver me from my own actions
Teach me how to avoid causing anyone any pain.

Lead me into the light
That my days upon this earth will be fruitful and bright
Let all that I do from this day forth be for Christ
Show me lord how to go out with a great big bang.

Premium Member Late At Night

Now don't you cry, I'll tell you why

I come'n home real soon

Just look up at the sky, the stars will get us by

I may be half a world away, but never left your side

It's with you I'll abide

And you will be my bride

Remember how I pledged my love to thee

You stoled my heart and set it free

Don't think that this foreign war

Can keep me from my quest

Returning to our nest and giving you my best

Just close your eyes and feel the breeze

It's my hands touching you

And when my time is through

There'll only be us two

But just for now, pretend I'm holding you

This late at night, it's what I always do

Liar

In justification marked on its pivotal blank page yet fully intact

Gone our the days to frolic in a haze
We tend to vomit on each others neck
In regret with sore vent Vlad Impolaric ways
Liar

You stoled my heart then ran the distant mile away
Filtered in the mass hysteria with tiny nerves to sway
No shelter to cry we all fall for the lie
The liar is in us all

A peril excuse to next abuse

With a tug at the heart vanquished to even run the final mile
A jewel of the Nile with glasse cracked in desolation
Straight to Hell on your next vacation,
Surfing the videos on the web

What the Hell is going on inside our head?

Sweltering heat with bloodshed in our street,
The mind falters then crys with an ellusive side
Faltering critics in darkened demise having fins for teeth
Shattered in the wind six times then we begin again.

It's What We Gained

It's not what we lost amongst the ashes and smoke,
It's what we found in the air all around.
As we watched the smoke out the windows roll'
And all the glass on the ground.

God sent comfort from our neighbors all around.
Though we have many empty wall
Where different things once hung.
There is apresence around that you can not mistake.

Though deep in our hearts there was heartaches and pain'
And rivers of tears came splashing down upon the ground'
God's presence was all around.

It was as we knelt down upon the floor
To cradle the dogs whom the fire had stoled
That I received my greatest awakening.

For I understood , it really wasn't what we lost,
It was more what he saved and truely what we gained.
For now I know down deep inside'
I Could loose it all and still have everything I will ever need.

As long as he dwells in me, he dwells where ever I am,
As long as he guides my every step and leads me on
My journey through Heaven's Golden Gate
At the end of my lifes days and I sit in his presence for evermore.
