It's What We Gained
It's not what we lost amongst the ashes and smoke,
It's what we found in the air all around.
As we watched the smoke out the windows roll'
And all the glass on the ground.
God sent comfort from our neighbors all around.
Though we have many empty wall
Where different things once hung.
There is apresence around that you can not mistake.
Though deep in our hearts there was heartaches and pain'
And rivers of tears came splashing down upon the ground'
God's presence was all around.
It was as we knelt down upon the floor
To cradle the dogs whom the fire had stoled
That I received my greatest awakening.
For I understood , it really wasn't what we lost,
It was more what he saved and truely what we gained.
For now I know down deep inside'
I Could loose it all and still have everything I will ever need.
As long as he dwells in me, he dwells where ever I am,
As long as he guides my every step and leads me on
My journey through Heaven's Golden Gate
At the end of my lifes days and I sit in his presence for evermore.
