monochromatic clouds
stagnated within space
rush hour traffic abounds
vitreous tears coat cheeks
time halts to screeching stops

God, who never gives us more than we can bear…will always make a way for our over-whelmed souls to find relief. Amen. And we press-on.

He said…
he awoke…to find…
Tears…
streaming… his face
and wondered, but
even more than that…
yearned…to recall
the dream? the vision…?
that place…
Where his…
well-built, secure…
impenetrable …dam
which received and harnessed
the compiled agony…of
all…digested pains…
all his life…
had begun to …fissure.
Tears…
from sleeping eyes…ran…
free of constraint
billowing forth from pent-up…sores…
unhampered by objections
escaping from, alas…a man!
Waters…
which only once before
in his entire living
so long ago yet, while awake
…had he bore.
And…
he pressed to remember
the…local
not consciously…no, never
consciously…!
but to imagine that
unconscious moment’s ember
When God…
in His Great Mercy…reached
releasing the grievous
accumulation of cruel,
oppressive, stagnated…
waves …
ere…that which his soul
could no longer bear
…Tears

Been incarcerated in a house;
Displeased in surrounding clout;
Walls sadden painted windows covered in 50's paint;
Ridiculed and stagnated
Accustomed to be alienated
I walk outside still alive vertical choice
 I received my voice
Contemplating
Residue survival

Gaslamp

Gaslamp, Gaslamp show me the way
inside the cave, leave me there
where I'm safe.
Ain't no debate, Gaslamp, Gaslamp.
In the way, seeing no place that
I fit in.

Blistered with Sin.
yeah...
I'm creeping again,
yeah..
I'm creeping again,
yeah.
I'm creeping again.

Gaslamp, Gaslamp in me warming
my Chi, sleeping up in the Rum and
left over Whiskey.
Stagnated. I've never been the one
to knock for help, yet here I am.

Here in my mental man,
never rising back.
Scared and afraid of just leaving
a stain, an impact on this Earth.
I need to be calm, nothing more
than the son of beauty upon the
concrete.
Am I making believe,
or does anybody care enough to
caress on my cheek?

Resting me, arresting me,
and then admitting defeat.

Am I making believe,
or does anybody care enough to
caress on my cheek?

Resting me, arresting me,
and then admitting defeat.

Premium MemberOur lost kingdom

Right day we've met
struggling for love,
right feelings
to be encountered
for two broken hearts.
We built our empire
of emotions and love,
our golden shell
to be covered by,
our castle to live in.

We've been
protected for years,
but the walls
weren't strong enough.
No intruders destroyed
our big stone building,
the war was inside,
sharp arrows from old years,
wounds that never healed.

We both lost the battle
when our thoughts stagnated,
instead of moving forward.
We both got lost
in our own past,
instead of strengthening
our present,
what we had together;
our castle to take care of,
our shared crown to protect,
our kingdom to fight for.

Premium MemberHARD HEART

Closely watch as those hardened hearts
Solid as a rock blood yet still pumps flows
Stagnated loves frozen disguise as beating fawns
Ringing like metal clanging iron bells
Open eyed blinded open mouth speaking lies

Who am I to have grace
Humanity grace compliance
Running destination race
Ain't no denial, just faith placed

Harden heart softening up
Once hard as diamond and gold

Amidst the Weeping Rain

Amidst the weeping rain,

the hours refuse to move

as if they feel hard to bear

everything stagnated

adding more to strain and pain.

In this pit dark new moon night

gusty winds and non stop rain

led to power off and all stand still

adding more to strain and pain

 The rain with thunder

made no human voice heard

but little later a whine

adding more to strain and pain

Dogs and puppies wail

as their kennel struck with a log

rushed to pull it apart

and to part from the strain and pain.

Darkness and silence threatens

when a little sound or light is sensed

catch it, release someone

you will be relaxed.

Amidst the weeping rain,

the hours refuse to move

wait, that too will pass

hope sustains life.

Not Everybody Is Meant To Ride

By Dana Redricks
04/27/2022

Not Everybody is meant to ride with us. Sometimes when we choose to better ourselves, and make changes to improve ourselves there will be those who oppose us wanting us to stay stagnated where we were doing the same old same old, but we can never accomplish our goals, and dreams doing the very things that held us down. To make a change we need to be willing to make sacrifices, and go above and beyond. Some succeed through others, but the majority of us have to work hard for what we want. When we strive to succeed to make our dreams happen we make them a reality. Keep believing, and stay determined and always remember to keep that hope alive.

Premium MemberDiscombobulated

Old age can be a lonely time for some;
friends fade to acquaintances; slip away.
Though your achievements bolster your resume,
they've stagnated with time and seem humdrum.
The atrocities of wars left you numb;
morals sink when hate is a stowaway.
And as the future gets bleaker each day,
you're left discombobulated and glum.

Children have lost the wonderment of youth,
comparing friends to likes; they interface.
Love's still spontaneous, but unlike hate,
it's an elusive, transitory truth.
Hypocrisy and lies are commonplace,
and death can seem a less frightening fate.

Premium MemberQuiet Are the Silent Ears-

It's in the cemetery late near midnight
It's at the mall chilling low lit light
Cold silent bodies that can't get up
Stagnated still cold can't rise won't get up
What's the rush hush
Quiet it's still

It's above the clouds around the stratosphere
It's found at the tip of a death mute ear
A warm silent body who can't hear
Stagnated eyes that glow and peers
Where's the hush
Quiet it's rushed

I see that I can't hear
In silence I can't see
My body that can't hear
Seeing out my inner ear
A lush of silence appears
Quiet are the silent ears

Premium MemberUndiscovered

Hampered decades withered wasted
         Filtered faint supposed adult phases
         Thumb stuck under parental watch
         Otherwise valid options squashed

Tip toe inhibit, always present parents
Lame version of living, aged thirty seven
          Stagnated, restricted mentality of boy
Stranger to poinant beckon, own voice

Girlfriend experience has to be paid for
         Without privacy, mature desires unable
         To explore collected life's excitement
         Warranted ability boxed and frightened

Nightly dinner served, bed Mum tidies
          Long spanning dependance, care relying
          On compassion, viewed incompetence
Spun by insulting cyclic denial's dance

Worked fifteen years for family business
Residing rent free, secure job benefits
Have a five bedroom house in next suburb
Sits always untenanted to avoid trouble

          Your foresight surely conjurs panic
Soon elderly parents may not manage
Destined to remain home, become their carer
Tiny limit of terrified world takes you nowhere

Stupid Fool

Stupid fool look at yourself what has your knowledge gained!
No forward motion or healthy growth,
Just some poor intellect pouring out of a grumpy man.
What perseverance do you follow upon your stagnated road?
Or do you push from opposite sides until your viewpoints lost!
Your grimness stirs my sanity and boils my blood in clumps,
I cannot take one look at you and please my mind with peace.
Just for once would you stop and listen, to another’s way of thinking,
And leave your rigidity at the door because I am tired of your two cents worth.
This intransigence you cloak your words with, pierce every soul you meet,
You bleed the life out of every thought and every encountered dialogue.
The utter pigheadedness of your verbal contributions,
Bring nothing but stalemate,
And one day soon or perhaps it won’t, be the death of your legacy!

Disinformation

Double-sided mirror
Deceptive reflections
Void of truth and beauty
Faith a small-time felon
Captured in a tight snare
Beyond pleasure and pains

Purchased books not read
Portraits not painted
Houses without roofs
A nonfunction heart
Stagnated living

Showing cold love
Unresponsive
To blank feelings
Reprimanded

Double-faced
Characters
Manifested

The Man In the Middle

In a blue sky
The sun was crying all the day
Didn't say why
Felt it hadn't had to say
Cause all the players in the play
With forgotten parts have walked off stage
Mumbling tongue twister tangled lines
Like lost Edenic fruitless vines
Lip syncing someone else's words
To where emotions become absurd

Happy madness
The path you walk is a waterway
It's a tad past
The time to roll the stone away
But you may see them with a frown
Like a painted circus clown
Facial features frozen in grotesque
Purist form so statuesque
In an eternal gaze to stare
At a lock of her serpent hair

But I've been waitin so long
So long, I've been waitin

Quite the showman
A solar eclipse cast on cue
End time's omen
Equals seats for one hell of a view
Yet you may see them with a smile
That they borrowed for awhile
But like plastic flowers on the lawn
Care not that Spring has passed on
For everyone all is the same
Stagnated without change

But I've been waitin so long
So long, I've been waitin
But I've been waitin so long
So long, I've been waitin

Yeah
