Free Will
So many roads to choose
With staggering views
Linger with privilege
Don’t take life for granted
Sought after marble dreams
Absorbing the sun under the tree
Just wondering
Life sometimes baffling
Free Will
Translucent future
If you ever get lost, follow the river
Pencil to paper
Count your blessings
Time is flying
Make good choices
It’s a waste of time to go down a hard road
Learn from everyone else’s stupidity
Walk a narrow road not with envy
Block out all of the drama
Be in solitude with no problems

Her skin, a velvet sin, a scripture I recite with the tip of my tongue,
melts like dark chocolate, bitter and sweet on my hungry lips,
pouring confessions in breathless whispers, a dance of endless desire.
I pull her closer, white-knuckled on silk sheets,
intoxicated by the ecstasy between her thighs, a paradise lost and found,
a pleasure so intense it hurts, an echo of unshared desires.
Let me worship, adore this altar of the senses,
let me destroy and be destroyed, lose myself in your depths,
for in this ruin I find rebirth, in this chaos, the sought-after peace.

We are either being educated
Or teaching
We are either being sought after
Or seeking
We are either engaged in a race
Or walking
We are either being attentive
Or talking
We are either intrigued by a rescue
Or being delivered
We are either exercising our consciousness
Or being chased by our whispers
We are either making use of our options
Or being victims of our circumstances
We are either being guardians of each opportunity
Or being inspired by second chances

Once a naive child
Sought after the sea
To feel as vivid blue
As the depths of it
Ventured in too far
Got swallowed by a wave
Trapped into the waters
Dissolving into them
Hence why I have no body
No place to keep my soul
Passed on all my sorrows
To waves crashing on the shore

I once spied a bold mouse with the hat
is there anything dafter than that
at this sought after headgear they’ll chase
on their crown crown it would seem out of place
in some way it was strange at first sight
as the mouse starts to nibble and bite
it’s my hat not some cheese plate you twerp
soon your tummy will ache and then burp
dearest pet leave this item alone
dash away or I’ll openly groan

She pampered and adored me from the start,
A radiant beauty, rare and a work of art.
Sought after by many for her brilliant shine,
I envied those wild watching her acts,
Yet, a hapless poet, I offered her my heart
So rich and pure , a love that would never diminish ,
Lost in the race I held on to hope's thin thread,
Seeking the meaning of love, my soul searches
.
A traveler in this journey, I roam and seek,
For the essence of love,
in this world's vast, dark creek,"

O’ I sea! Kaleidoscopes pageantry beige dew of specks of sands
Sun shines powerful midst the high day mass;
Mine eyes sees is a smooth and rounded pieces of glass;
Sparkled weathered and polished by the waters, waves and sand;
Mine eyes spies as it sees from the watery sea;
Distinguished smooth, rounded shapes,
Frosted surface texture, and unique color variations debris;
O’ I sea! The color of sea glass deepens none phosphate;
Also known as beach glass;
By the action of waves and sand;
It is a popular collectible beautiful catch;
And can be found on beaches all over the world lands;

Of white, brown, green, and blue, while rarer colors like red, orange,
And yellow are highly sought after by collector’s connoisseurs;
Tumbled in the ocean for years broken glass tumbled broken rounded pretty to the amateur

I am compelled to write it
when it flows like white water rapids.
Perhaps some initiate when they see it.
Some are energized when they smell it.
Others are inspired best when they hear its sound.
Some experience explosions when they taste it.
No doubt, at various times and seasons, the
entire sensory system will come into play.
But for me? I function best when I feel it.
It embraces my entire being, not letting me go.
Words appear, and if I do not savor and capture
them, they vanish like vapors in the wind.
I never sought after poetry. Poetry found me.
I never pursued poetry academically, but Poetry
arrested, studied, and found me useful as a conduit when it first
captured me at the bedside of a dying one.

we are astonished
at use of labels
assigned to domains
imaginary yet sought after
by fickle desire
of deluded hearts
nonchalance yawns
and moves on

Ode to a Beaver
I watch the beaver gnaw the tree
And see its place in history.
Cursed with a luxurious pelt
Sought after by European furriers.
That led to the slaughter of the species
From which a nation was conceived.
Like a virus invasion out of control,
Its numbers decimated and habitat destroyed.
We humans can be a cruel lot,
Killing for pleasure and exploitation.
I regret the harm inflicted
Upon these creatures of creation.
As I ponder my journey’s end,
At the swamp of its making,
Joy swells my heart to see
By the lodge, kits swimming.

Niharo grew herself a strong wise wonderful son.
She showed him there is strength in sensitivity and truth
Listening and helping others was Niharo’s way of life
Her son Eli was revered and respected by most
Brave enough to live his truth, confident in his manners
Teaching the world his mother’s respectful ways
Eli was much sought after by the maidens of his village
Caught by the kindest and most reverent one, naturally.

Riding the train on a summer afternoon
feelings of fallacy hurled upon me,
satori in my brown orbs with a speck of gold dust inside,
I was ready to take on my heels back to you,
these intrusions being new
as I cannot assert with the flow
something pulled at my soul
for I lost all track of the sea,
fortified myself down the rabbit hole
seasons turned hazy,
troubled with blurring horizons
juxtaposing everyone else’s against yours in wild tones,
tangled in circles of alliances
crestfallen over you,
just like a little parrot, the throbbing heart of mine
whispers syllables of your calling
and it brought the storm along,
the stark lightning of which struck the chord
in dissipating the blues of mine
aching to be raptured in untethered pragma of love,
while into the deepest of desolation
stepping into your territory felt far-fetched ?
moon light shepherded through
the momentary solace of the soul sought after,
etched onto my roots
when time demands of imperative forgetfulness
you remain
the footprint of yours remain unparalleled in my infinity

As I cling to what matters, fare thee well,
spoken as I drown in the hereafter;
and I’ll see you on the flip side of hell.
Tickets for this dreamy ship sought after…
By sea, everything for the well-to-do.
Well! Well! This slippery slope is for all.
Vanderbilt, no more riches to pursue!
As the ship breaks apart, there is no wall.
Behold clatter of titanic dishes.
The fanciest food on fire - rich, I say.
Brandy warms the throat like lifeboat wishes.
Go, I, into the freeze to pass away.
Palpable stars, they sting my open eyes.
I hate the dark, the screams of night, the saved.
No motherly lullaby of bye-byes.
Contrast the pier when Southampton waved.

After 365 days of
Balancing our daily routines,
Caring for our loved ones,
Daring to dream of relaxing days - yes,
Even after realising it's all
Futile, we still wait to have our
Great days, our very own
Happy mornings - long live our
Imagination; But let's not just
Judge the year gone past, badly;
Keeping ourselves in good health,
Longing to have some "me time",
Maintaining good relationships -
Never have all these been more important
Or sought after, than in these
Post-covid times - rather, an essential
Quiet gap between difficult times of
Rains, virus and wars, among others;
Somewhere between tragedies, we became
Thankful for the silver linings - appreciating
Universal peace and helping each other;
Vacations and holidays recharged us and I
Wish that we get more of those every year.
X-mas now gives way to the start of a new
Year - a year that I hope keeps us all safe,
Zestful and yearning for a peaceful life.
