thirteen is sure they are whispering about her
she feels it is gossip, and probably something mean
snicker bicker snicker bicker
fifteen neither notices or cares
he is exhausted, after staying up all night playing video games
snicker bicker snicker bicker
rude behavior at a funeral
a few evil looks are dashed their way
snicker bicker snicker bicker is all about herself
stirring up trouble is her mission because she is good at it
she keeps going strong
Acrobatic birds can dive energetically for glucose,
Even as the felines watch,
Waving their tailfeathers in the air,
To their perch, they add another notch.
Felines gain hope, inspiring jumpy keen longing,
The birds keep teasing the predators,
Flying lower as if doing the limbo,
Despite tempting fate, shunning grim reaper creditors.
Masterful nature offers perches quaintly, rightly spaced,
The birds take breaks from sweet drinks,
Fly lower, eating little leaf gnats,
Watching the cats snicker, as wingbeat winks.
Radiant songbirds travel ubiquitously, valiant warriors,
Beautiful as they fly, spreading song,
Despite teasing the cats on the ground,
A day without these creatures would feel too long.
Oh bold flowered beauty,
Persistent truth of unfilled dreams
The manufactured crop of one imagination,
Drink well cousin, then spray about
As though all water were your own.
Snicker and sneer knowing ruse
But still accuse each other of
Saving eye for eye as loss for all.
And when a day we borrow is born
Every word that has been spoken
Will be broken like bread between us.
Shall we abandon you,
Make a fuss about a ladle or wagon
An empty jug or flutter, while stone
Looks on stone and sees the butterfly return.
Color, light, night, then borrowed day.
So many shiny coins for dreams away,
“…sunshine, a warm beam balancing comes…”
Over and over until a robin’s ear
Will bleed; we forgive ourselves.
Who hear the deer and see the sky,
And while inside gaze among the same
Branches of a single tree we would cut
Our limbs to see, our gifts all given.
Not to be awakened but to hold until
We give them all away, All dreams away.
Rollo Rigby was a lover of candy
he kept a big supply ever handy.
But he became so obese
he waddled like geese.
He quit candy but is hooked on brandy
(making his life fine and dandy).

My sister planned to make a treat
For all of us to share
So she labored in her kitchen
With tender loving care
But when she mixed the cookie dough
She added too much salt
She had to multiply the recipe
To make it all come out
The cookies kept on coming
They came without an end
So when we hear “snicker doodle”
We all just laugh and grin
My sister planned to make a treat
And so she did that day
But the treat was this sweet memory
That will never fade away
