Snicker Doodle

My sister planned to make a treat For all of us to share So she labored in her kitchen With tender loving care But when she mixed the cookie dough She added too much salt She had to multiply the recipe To make it all come out The cookies kept on coming They came without an end So when we hear “snicker doodle” We all just laugh and grin My sister planned to make a treat And so she did that day But the treat was this sweet memory That will never fade away

this is so charming. I've done this before, kept adding more and more ingredients to even out the salt or some other wrong ingredient. Great memory!!! luv, andrea

this sure was a fun read, not to mention that it made me want to bake-- haha I don't have a recipe for snicker doodles though, just plain 'ol chocolate chip-- very sweet memories indeed! Don't you just love the smell of the house when something's a-bakin'?? -- nikko :)
