day’s eye

[Poet’s Note : “daisy” originates from the Old English word for day’s eye which meant The Sun. Apparently the flower was given this name because of its rays of petals around a centre & a short lived spring life]

Thoughts who won’t hush, they tell me
the mountains dance with praises
breaking through the mist, I see
splendid breath of still gazes
welcome to hope, bow your knee
see how His love amazes
soon slumber shall set you free

Bright and Blight

I like the showers of the sowers' rainfalls—
Not that it shouts, but because it makes plants sprout.
The scenery crawls as field greenery sprawls,
That can extricate droughts from despairing doubt.
Butterflies paint brighter the greens of the fields,
And flowers flaunt beauty as bright, fragrant shields.
In dreams I crave wet seasons to whet my sleep,
Whose supreme comfort sustains my slumber deep.

I hate the stains that dwell in corners and drains—
Filthiness, a taboo my death will detest.
I despise the dirtiness my soul disdains,
A deep aversion heaven and earth can't wrest.
So sew your flowers' seeds and weed my garden—
No matter your mistake, my mind will pardon.
Love will invent the wheel of our good rapport;
Just don't adore foulness I so much abhor.

A child of light

I was a poor hardworking shepherd boy, Everyday I carried milk for a rich, On an unfamiliar hot summer day, I quenched my thirst with water from the pond, Which was beside a banyan tree on road, I rested for a while in the tree shade, Very soon I fell into a deep slumber, Suddenly I startled by the new scene, A bright lady of celestial beauty, She carried a child of light in her arms, And she greeted me with a lovely smile, She asked me some milk for her baby, I joyfully gave her some milk for her child, Smile spread over the face of the holy baby.

Lulled to slumber by humid summer breeze
She dozed to sleep dreaming of chilly ease
Plunging into swimming pool
Oh, so delightfully cool
Rising up, she woke herself with loud sneeze.

Revisiting Slumber

Revisiting Slumber
Not wanted
Hinder from the sun
Revisiting slumber
Detached from everyone
One of those doomy moods
No spice toward encouragement
Loneliness is friendly
Rain is humming
Just going through changes
Into the unknown
A drought from society
Never show up when invited
Mind falling into emptiness
Covered up in cashmere
Block out windows heavily
One of those days
Yesterday is delayed
Another evening fades
Amber drink to the grave

Melody In a Drought

Melody In A Drought
I feel horizontal.
No motivation.
Absent from society.
Sometimes we need leisure.
Avoid people.
Just isolated.
Sometimes self-doubt.
Pondering a new poem.
Melody in a drought.
Sometimes I have no energy.
Thoughts fading.
Need another cup of coffee.
Mind in a haze.
Behind with my writings.
Empty pages never ending.
Consumed by insomnia.
The sun is burning out.
Restless night.
Exile from the light.

A few will suffice

"A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world." - Leo Buscaglia
I need not many friends in this my life~
A few will suffice, if they do wonders,
As caring and kind as a loyal wife,
Their presence resounds like distant thunders.

More beauty is found in a single rose
Than in weeds that overrun a garden.
Their sheer numbers often bring many throes,
And for their wrongs, they offer no pardon.

Flee far from my life in your vast number,
Find a place to rest, lost in your slumber.

                     Verbs - Eclipse, Erase
                     Adjectives - Tender, Cold

Carrying yokes on their necks
To erase the hereditary poverty
That eclipsed them for so long,
With strong will in their hearts,
Hiding pain under tender smile,
Struggling together day and night,
Indifferent to heat and cold,
Minding not hunger and slumber,
Our grandparents and parents,
The backbones of our family,
Burning their lives like candles,
Taught us an invaluable lesson -
“In the midst of darkness, light persists!”

Within Slumber Time

Within Slumber Time

Once again awake at night
Peaceful sleep, out of sight
Monkey mind, such a fight
Faded memoirs lost in flight

Queries race within my mind
Seeking answers hard to find
Feelings and thoughts combined
Fantasy and reality intertwined

Fearing scenarios not yet to be
A certain future you cannot see
Or from a past you cannot flee
Certain words you don’t agree

Lost time, as daylight softly dies
All the queries in all that implies
Worrying seemingly multiplies
As your anxiety amplifies

Questioning a reason nor rhyme
Of fond memories lost in time
A feeling of euphoria so sublime
All succumb within slumber time

Final - Act5 - Slumber

Cold frozen fortress
 poetic in it's slumber
I count the days
And trace the memories
Awaiting my springtime flower

Of feathered down
Without a sound
From my window
I peer

This town lie empty
Reeling dreams are empty
This bitter fortress
Has frozen my tear

I scribe a memoir
To and fro
In remembrance
And gather my dreams
Into existence

Tomorrow awaits
The creaking floor
I pace
For today.
Oh today
I lie in slumber

Slumber's Grace

Softly she slumbers, a vision to see,
A smile on her face, serenity.
No worries or cares, no troubles in sight,
Just peaceful repose, a gentle delight.

Her snores, a gentle hum, a sweet serenade,
Cute and girlish, a symphony to aid,
My heart beats faster, my love grows anew,
In this moment, my heart belongs to you.

Though I may be nothing special, unworthy of her grace,
She sleeps beside me, a precious, trusting embrace,
Her beauty shines brighter, even in repose,
A treasure to behold, a heart that overflows.

Oh, how I'm captivated by her slumbering form,
A beauty so uncommon, a love that's sworn,
In this quiet hour, I vow to adore,
This sleeping beauty, forevermore.

Smelling
Woody, sweet, aroma
Christmas pine tree,
Weaved with Bright blinking lights,
Topped with a starlit top.

Feeling
The Brrr ... chill of the night air
Brrr ... freezing cold of the North Pole.

Listening
To the sounds of the wind
For the Ring a ling, jingling,
Ringing of the sleigh bells.

Watching
Moonlight shadows dancing
On the walls as they take
Different fantasy shapes

Waiting
Jolly, rolly, “Ho, Ho, Ho”
White beard Santa
In a white fur trim, red velvet suit.

Seeing
Santa’s sleigh just went zooming by
Fading off to nighttime dreams
Making every minute count.
