Within Slumber Time Once again awake at night Peaceful sleep, out of sight Monkey mind, such a fight Faded memoirs lost in flight Queries race within my mind Seeking answers hard to find Feelings and thoughts combined Fantasy and reality intertwined Fearing scenarios not yet to be A certain future you cannot see Or from a past you cannot flee Certain words you don’t agree Lost time, as daylight softly dies All the queries in all that implies Worrying seemingly multiplies As your anxiety amplifies Questioning a reason nor rhyme Of fond memories lost in time A feeling of euphoria so sublime All succumb within slumber time
