feel the quiet, pouring over my thoughts
the lingering dream, filling me up
with a sense of peace and silence, flowing
erasing the day with all its shadows
all the pains of the past melt away,
gentling the ache, the voice of twilight
stirring in my spirit – a melancholic drifting
telling me that this moment is the time
before and after, this life is mine
and every dream is alive, as my lids get heavy
I feel the light liquefying, disappearing
as night fills up my spirit and, with hope
there is surely a heaven more inviting
than the seduction of slumber’s respite
feel the relief, restful and soothing
silencing the mind with all its theories,
all the beautiful that steals the music
all the revelations of perfect and pure –
wistful streams of melancholy
flowing across the heart who hears
glowing beyond the lonely tears
reflecting the gentle despite the fears
this is the place where hope bleeds
through the spirit, awakening
dreams who force the light in,
breath life into the hesitant grasp
dance of whispers, arising
in the life who hears the angel sing…
feel the serenity, a peace beyond description
coloring the night in grace, breaking
through the most intimate space, revealing
what it means to see the joy blowing
beneath winds who tease, always whooshing
away the past, restoring the soul
with a reprieve from the excitement
living, amid the sparkle who glows
beneath the silence, where love invites us
to see through the tears, into the light
a melody, flowing in rivers of insight
beautiful dreams come to life
as the stars wink at our aliveness
and dusty trails of passing fantasies,
amid the wonders of yesterday’s sagacity,
a foreign note of healing, relief
spiling from the spirit who can breath in…
feel the impression of what is reality
resting in the dreams,
peace that need never leave –
although the music bleeds memories,
still, cool gentle fills my spirit
gives my soul wings
so I see beyond the musty prayers
walk beneath the trembling praise
to invite His light, flowing
across my dreams, healing
sharing a portion of what hope is,
the miracles, the sensitive
caressing my feelings, leaving me
sure that He is with me,
His presence revealing to me
all the life that has been given
by the wonder of a cross, forgiven…
I fall to my knees, grateful
love made a way
and I can sincerely say
beneath the night’s gray,
eyes closed, heart awake
I know the meaning of faith –
it is the truth that sustains
it is the beauty that stays
it is the light that conveys
the meaning of life – love
love that never goes away
love that is alive,
forever, eternally mine
and as I sleep away the night,
I know this love will survive
whatever comes, wrong or right –
this love is the truth despite the lie
that tells you love can die…
love is forever, always alive
love is eternal and became a sacrifice
so you and I – we will never die
and love will forever satisfy
love will always be completely alive!
