Extinct Eden

The skyline wheezes through gauze-thick breath,
its lungs ossified in scaffolded sighs,
where children etch constellations on smog,
and pigeons strut in soot-stained pride.

Dark as coal, and quieter than sleep,
the city dreams in monochrome,
its rivers choked with yesterday’s sins,
its gardens traded for silicone.
Traffic flows like veins in a dying beast,
pumping noise into the marrow of stillness.

We built this Eden out of exhaust
and liturgy of engines.
We now beg for the Adam's apple
to drop back down.

Premium MemberProcrastination

Imagination only comes when you privilege the subconscious,
when you make delay and procrastination work for you.
—Hilary Mantel

The cogs and wheels turning, nonetheless, as I ponder
the preparation before me, having looked over the lesson;
turned over the less obvious loneliness of being left
with a lesson I’ll never forget; abandoned, but not by God.
—quote by Poet

Procrastinating

Cold am I in my pyjamas;
not wearing any socks.

Shivering with coffee in hand;
it’s warmed up to the cold.

Frozen, the morning program;
I will likely release its heat.

Procrastinating, except for laundry.
Waiting on my inspiration socks.

Shall I pick up my next read
or throw the book at something unseen?

Pens and pencils in an Irish mug.
Two leprechauns kiss; Dad misses that warmth.

Observant am I, as now I see, scattered,
yellow and pink silicone muffins.

My mess in triplicate.
I must duplicate my stress.

Press in to the obvious…
Once I begin, where will it end?

Work, without end,
to upend my mind.

Word Tune

The start is marked by a gravy weapon,
Puppy barks answer the trumpets' call.
The muzzle is loose, whispers are free,
The light shines through the metal canvas wall.

Gold insulation, thin as wool,
The warmth is hard to find.
The ember processor cools,
And the processor servant leaves the silicone.

A penthouse phallus on the street of rape
The laptop is for the spouse.
No need for a centimeter polisher,
Just a sail and a television in the house.

Grease the radio, pour the smoke,
Liquor is for the cat.
No solid pills or silver hats,
Just a woman feeding with vinegar, that's all.

Almond Chocolate and Coconut Cheesecake

Heel Cota makes his in ring debut versus "SumThang Specail" Derrgentt Cetter and manager "Bounce" Binny Banger. in a Stay Outta the corner strap match.
Both guys will be telthered in one corner, while four other guys will be tethered in the opposiite corner. The four guys have no alliance to either combatant and have the right to have action with the two men. 1;00 in the corner is the total time allowed. A regular three count or Countout will determain the winner. Contention matches can make new comers and lesser apprecated wrestlers instant contenders to the Worlds Championship. We heard the the Championship committe and the fans want to see someone comeup the ladder, uncrown either the Worlds Champion or the tagteam champions. I heard Dence Castburger say " this is a place of oppurtunities: we wanna see the best man win: if it's from the Contention Series< we'll thant's great for business!"

Oh pretty plastic plaything

You just make my mouth water

You always make my day sing

More than the farmers daughter

You're better than the real thing

And much hotter than the sun

Oh pretty plastic plaything

You still love me when I'm done

I need you more than ever

You make me feel like a king

Cuz you never say never

Oh pretty plastic plaything

I Guess It's Smart

I woke up this mornin’ and my phone was playin’
A song about mornin’ rain
How did my phone know that it was rainin’?
I guess it’s smart and I can’t complain

I guess it’s smart
To project your signal
Straight up into the sky
I guess it’s smart
To be wild, young and single
To look at God and deny

I showed my face to the wall and it knew me
I didn’t even have to sign my name
This world makes it easy to do one’s duty
I guess it’s smart ‘cause it rarely complains

I guess it’s smart
To set up a system
Works at the blink of an eye
I guess it’s smart
To be like some victim
To look at God and deny

I talked to my lover but my lover don’t talk
It don’t even know that it is
Skin made of silicone and thoughts pale as chalk
I guess it’s smart based on its messages

I guess it’s smart
To channel the network
To cast that all-powerful die
I guess it’s smart
So don’t be that one jerk
Who looks to God and doesn't deny

I guess it’s real smart
To cancel the artist
At the word of the activist
I guess it’s smart
To question what “smart” is
But on this, I must insist

But on this, I must insist

My term as a head student will come to an end.
But my three-month term I intend to extend.

I have friends here you know and acquaintances are many
I hope that votes will come, each will contribute his penny.

Take Jenny there I’m sure of her
I will not of her lovemaking refer
Don’t let that shy look distract you
Hidden inside her is quite a shrew.

My program for next term should simply be
Friendship is first, don’t you agree?

There’s Guy and Gus, they are such friends
They give me thumbs up, finger extends.
At least I hope that’s what I’m seeing
I respect them as every human being.

We all must act like a great friendly community
It will be for us friends a great opportunity.

Just like our dear sexy Moll,
A deep cleavage baring her all!!
Oh well let’s concentrate on our thesis
Forget about silicone and another prosthesis.

Between us, I heard that some are cheating,
I don’t wish to bring it before a board meeting.

What, are you leaving so soon, we have much to say.
How come everyone can’t exchange views but shy away?

NB This poem is meant for just fun.

How Much Capacity Is Enough

It's out there somewhere,
that marginal place where the elastic nature
of truth, reality,
the measure and fit of coffins,
baby cribs,
the doable dimensions of a a plasma screen
according to its scope, sufficiency, and relationship
to a plausible accommodation of any available space.
It’s the weight of a cut glass bowl of wine
on a rolling rowboat; anything that exceeds
an imprecise self-limiting amplitude
yet also be full or nearly so
to a hard to determine fill-line
of an existential brim or limit.
it is that overly deceptive inch, tittle, or quota,
a displacement that's great enough
to create its own capacity of
less or more.
We will know it
when the shrimp cocktail spills over
onto our dress shirt,
or when the cat starts to turn over the non-clumping clay
and silicone particles of its particular litter box
looking for where the bottom
is deep enough to cover the top.

It has all been said before, nothing is new.
I write these words and hold them
for a while, connecting me to here.
Then they snap free as I move on - each
word falling motionless on a page or asleep
in some silicone twilight waiting
to be retrieved. Too soon all will begin
to disintegrate, be deleted or thrown away.

I would like to be eased out of here
and become what I see. That soft light
falling outside my window anointing
the first fragile leaves, its joyous dance
in a saucer that the rain filled last night.
Nothing there seems to wish for more,
just a moment to inhabit and an audience
in me.

Modernity

Modern artificiality:
    The woman becomes a clone,
    carved throughout.
     Estrogen turns to silicone,
       art abounds...

from waking alone every morn;
With udders fantastic
Of silicone plastic,
She’s grabbing the bulls by the horn.
