The Wire That Got Bent Out of Shape
The Wire that Got Bent out of Shape

I am a wire.
I am always getting bent out of shape by wrenches.
They are always twisting me and bending me.
I hate it so much.
Then I have to go to my dad
Who is a vice
To get back into shape.
I HATE IT!...

Mr Fix It
My car breaks down
I’m pissed, vicious frown
You hug me tight
You say, “It will be alright”
“I’ll fix it”

Wrenches, sockets
Bolts in your pockets
Smeared cheeks, grease
I hand you those not these

You lay on the street
Jeans and feet
My heart held captive
You’ve never been so attractive...

Contact Corn
Words fell through my mind
in plumber’s wrenches
you walked
through a room
my hands shook
I kept pebbles in my pocket
to hold on to

you
kicked at my desire
broad hoofed
your head became
an Olmec icon
my fingers reached
reached for you
like skinny cobs
of ancient maize...

Small
Small.....

The small brown nightingale sings
From left bough of an insignificant tree
He brings not much
Just love and a touch
Of everything that wrenches his
Heartstrings

In his world the notes are beautiful
Blissfully unaware
His heartsichord strings are all but dishevelled
So never fill the air...

My Life
Though I have found you
Yet my heart shrinks
A confounded feeling
The trust that I have is dribbling

I may have an alternate
But you are my soul mate
Raise that hand
Make me yours before it end

My thoughts are crossing miles
The agony in me is taking away my smile
My heart wrenches to be close to you
To express this love the words are few...

What Happened
What do you want from me? I try to not look sad as I go to bed Giving you hope for tomorrow and calm for your rest Knowing that the lonely trek is ahead, I press As I reach the entryway my heart wrenches for you to come Running behind me We meet where our lives took shape and life began Realizing that was a quick daydream I lose another piece of us.

The Plumber
The Plumber

By Elton Camp

When the pipes under sink began to leak,
Help of Big Bubba’s Plumbing I did seek
Bubba promised he’d be there right away
And he showed up later that very same day

He said, “Big Bubba is here your pipes to fix.
I brought the tools to help me do the tricks.”
Wrenches, pliers, solder—nothing did he lack
But, so sad to say, he also had plumber’s crack...

I Like Sad Music
I like sad music
that wrenches the heart.
It drowns me with the feelings
of not belonging but deeply apart.

It elevates me to the likes of the
Gods of hurt,
because of this genocidal earth
I was broken
from the moment my senses
began to start.

I could never become a stone,
dance in delight with happy tunes,
be someone justifiably
cruel and uncaring smart.

You Found Me-To My Love Junior
Beautiful dreamer come to me
With your eyes help me to see

Take my world and turn it 'round
Speak to me without a sound

Soul to soul we find such bliss
I'll drink the nectar of your kiss

The pain I feel's when we're apart
It wrenches me deep in my heart

But such joy when you're by my side
To take me on this glorious ride

I want to tell you a thousand ways
I'm yours until the end of days...

Trapped
Goose bumps prickle my arm,
My hands clench,
And stomach wrenches inside,
I can't breathe,
Or hide.

A rapid heartbeat thumps away,
Sweat is forming,
Eyes so strongly fixated,
I need help,
To late.

The urges take over my actions,
I start clawing,
All over an imperfect body,
I feel trapped,
Can't relax

Tears are pouring from my eyes,
I lose control,
Arms are so red and hot,
Leave me alone,
Cant stop,...

Lullaby and Good Night
Sound that brings Back memories Sounds that make One cry …From an ol’ music box… Sound that tears Tears from one’s eyes And wrenches forth Deep sighs …Nothing quite like an ol’ music box… No, nothing says poignancy More so… than does the silken notes That softly flow …From a music box… That plays ‘Lullaby And Good Night’ And tinkles down E’er so slowly Til wound again …Up tight…

Disordered Eating
My stomach twists,
Empty.
I'll run to forget the pain,
Busy.
Drinking water helps,
Better.
I go home and shower,
Clean.
My reflection catches my eye,
Fat.
I look away,
Shame.
I flip on the TV.
Bored.
Victoria's Secret ad comes on,
Curious.
Their bodies chiseled into perfection,
Jealous
Tv turned off,
Wishing.
Empty refrigerators will stay,
Almost.
Next workout to burn off more,
Thin.
My stomach wrenches,
Empty....

My Grandpa's Tool Bench
My grandpa has a tool bench
With gadgets, tools and such
Shiny metal objects
And things I cannot touch

Lots of different wrenches
Hammers, saws and pliers
Putty knives and levels
Scissors, rope and wires

Many rows of little jars
Filled with nails and screws
Each one labeled perfectly
In case you need to choose

He says someday he’ll teach me
How to handle all this stuff
But right now I can only look
Until I’m tall enough....

Yes No - A
Your smile haunting me still
Pulling me towards you against my will

Your eyes follow me always
Studying me in the passage of days

Your lips tempting me to sin
I can't let you win

Your voice echoing in my head
From every morning rise to night fall- from and into bed

Your laughter resonating through me
Just leave me, I scream, Leave me be

Your fading presences wrenches out my "NO!"
I realize I can't leave you, I can't let you go...

The Prize
I worked on an old oil rig
In red Oklahoma mud
Throwing chains and working hard
Sore muscles with sweat and blood

Forty eight inch pipe wrenches
Will sure tire your arms a bit
If you want to eat and live
You have to get used to it

When working 12 hours a night
It's likely to wear you down
One day when I got off work
I happened to look towards town

Treetops peeked above thick fog
A rainbow against the sun
That sight I'll never forget
A prize for a job well done...
