Miserable
Minds wrenched
Hearts stung.
Pennies pinched.

There is bounty to be amassed,
wealth to be wrenched from the earth,
power to be wielded over nations.
Go forth.

DISAPPEARED
Wrenched
Disappeared
Gone
A heart left behind
Forever bleeds
No comforting words
No nearness
Assuages
The horror
The loneliness
The despair

Imagism
Whether I will wither in the warmth
Or wilt with the weather,
I worry wildly!
For I'd rather,
Weep with wounds when wrapped into a wreath
Than
Get wrenched (plucked) away worthlessly!

Fallen flower
By my back you kept a watch
Snatched from life
Wrenched mark decidedly contrived
Knot in my soul
Untied, I stumble in the night
Our time dissolved
Rejoin ahead our fields of light

Ogden Nash begets the Nasher
Humored couplets somewhat brasher
Seems these rhymes are wrenched in nature
Clenched, this nomenclature impure
Odd end Ogden, gnashing nashers,
Hence the wincing grimace assures

Just do it.
Whipping lash,
hot, cramped pit.
Odor, stenches
still working.
Cash coins wrenched.
Wealthy, rich
sitting back
pulling stitches.
Dollars drop.
No more wages,
still won't stop.
Sit, knot, knit,
broken wrists,
just do it.

I pluck the petals of a flower
Each pull like a dagger wrenched into my heart
What will fate lend me
As each petal floats to earth
Will my quest be my desires
One last petal clings
I know the answer I asked of it
What good is luck from a dead flower

Do you have the key
to unlock a new door
Do you have the words
that will heal an old wound
Do you have the eyes
that will share in the tears
Do you have a heart
—not yet wrenched from your soul

Blank verse
I stare into a puddle
where a man is staring back
he has the look
of my father
I speak into a cavern
and hear my voice returned
made less in itself
folding inward
I am wrenched in my soul
by instances of rapture
taking my hand
calling me brotheri

I do not know?
Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile
Lived and reigned Egypt style.
Her kingdom wrenched from her grasp,
She took her life with an asp.

Come on she urged me
It will be fun
It was. Three hour drive each way
I am not looking forward to it
God pushed me down on concrete steps
I caught myself with two fingers
Wrenched my back
There was no way I would go now
Too miserable though
To be grateful

Oh little quipster
Come dance for me
Embrace upon me
Wit and humor
Hypnotize me
With alluring charm
Unbreakable
Fill your performance
With moments of regret
Whipped and wrenched
Upon my spirit
Do me this favor
One final time
And I shall forget
Your debt to me

My brother went to limbo
Stillborn and unbaptized
Faultless but Original Sin
Status unknown
A soul in liminal space
Lost between heaven and hell
Damnation spared
Salvation denied
Consigned by papal decree
Resigned to the Mercy of God
Wrenched, a mother's heart

Why am I here?
I am not living but I exist,
A meaningless existence,
I feel nothing, I am hollow inside,
I'm empty,
My heart has been wrenched out,
I just don't function,
Without you.
I want to go to sleep and never wake up,
You were my everything,
I'm dead inside,
Without you.

I do not know?
Moments that count, are those bliss drenched
Joy makes us feel complete
Both fear and desire, from heart wrenched
Our head’s laid at God’s feet
Rapturous and aglow
In tranquil stillness slow
Ceasing seeking we flow
Horse of love mount
Moments that count

Traitor.
She’s a traitor.
She brought harm to me
and unto my family
And I won't forgive her
Not ever
Never
But I won’t stop missing her, she
Loved me and loved my family
And we loved her.
And I will never
forget her
The warmth she brought us
And the cold when she wrenched it away

Thunderstorm-wrenched night
hit dark rains on window pane,
stuck alone in blackout room,
heard knock on creaking door,
sense shook in shade of leaked lantern.

Saša Milivojev - ICE AGE
An endless plate of ice
The camel carries me
Treading heavily
Icy tears from sobbing splutter
It stumbles
Over the tips of the pyramids
Weeping
The soul is wrenched
My firefly is not here
At nine
As it once was

Lyric
I pick things up and feel their power again
As their memories flood right in
For some have happiness entrenched
While others find my tears are wrenched
Just simple things you may say
But I will never give them away
Carefully I wrap these things with each fold
For later when their story will again be told.

Ballad
A nation divided, its fabric ripped to shreds
Like a clipper ship’s sails in a hurricane
Its rudder wrenched from its stern
Leaving its course to the mercy of its abuser
The fate of its crew dependent on its strength
And its ability to weather the storm
To once again sail proudly and majestically
Over the treacherous seas of public opinion.

Prose Poetry
will e’re i see
what used to be
afore the days you left
my one beauty
was wrenched from me
i am become bereft
i wait on thee
as you do me
lone cries die in the wind
our souls in need
to be complete
desire each one again
once Death plainly
took you from me
and left but pain’s embrace
yet patiently
Death waits for me
then pain shall be erased

I do not know?
He teased and kissed my soul on fire
What he left was unsatisfied desire
He left and said he would call soon
But the moon was full
And as we all know
Full moons betray lovers.
He did call but only once
To say good bye
My eyes teared
My gut wrenched
His thirst was quenched
But left me thirsty
He came to me in ecstasy
and I believed he had come for me
