The moment they go for a nap
The wife laughs, "Tee hee!
You're not fooling me!
I know its another bum rap!"

Drilling a hole
Through the
Tender bark of
The cider tree
Making sweet sap
Flow to the ground
What hammer make this sound
A woodpecker pecks
The sound resonates around
Aluminum pole
Fiercely crows disturbed roosters
All sound waves combine
Staring blankly at an unblank spreadsheet.
My paints, unspread, in the next room.
A woodpecker bangs headlong into a frozen tree.
There's a loud chirp chirp
as the large woodpecker speaks
