I woke today
only half the man I was yesterday
Newtown still rings out,
as the souls of the lost ring inside my head.
I woke today......
Allen Ginsberg wrote 'Howl' 65 years ago
Before almost anyone was woke
Read his poem carefully, my friend
See America's downfall stoked
Oh, how the young lady wanted to dance,
But only, with male species in sleek pants!

Given board and room.
A face, teeth, soccer ball feet and an almost perfect face. Funny when he shaves, He craves, begs, checks and says.... "Ndakamuka."
A man got shunned from a haven
The host made rules that were craven.
Peers banned his prize joke
for fear of the woke
Proud noses were pecked by his raven.
When white lies plot the course
Oscillating between trust and deception
Kindling radical dialogue with smoking tongues
Escalating unilateral world supremacy
DAILY GRATITUDE
When I wake up I immediately feel grateful that I woke…
and then
I remind myself to make this day count
for I will never have this day again.
I woke up, feeling refreshed
I am now in anguish in dread
I woke up, feeling replenished
Out of my head, I feel out of my head
I sometimes feel dead though instead
woke up
time eloped
slightly down
mostly sloped
dreams persued
never slept alone
memories are jaded
minds
of
stone
no meat
in
a
dry nut
woke up
?
Winnie the Pooh now is uncool
The Cat in the Hat worse than that
Charlie Brown found to be unsound
Bugs Bunny deemed not funny
The woke is wack
Get your sanity back
Woke
When white lies plot the course
Oscillating between trust and deception
Kindling radical dialogue with smoking tongues
Escalating unilateral world supremacy

Fully Inclusive
The beauty
Of being fully inclusive
Is that nothing
Can possibly offend you.
I have a dog like that….

May Well Be:
Bliss...
But It's Even:
***BLISSIER!***

Every day when I wake up
I’m grateful for the happiness waking up evokes…
I’m not only grateful that I woke to a new day
but in this political climate…
I am also grateful to be woke.
--- not stirred ---
same old, same old
bourgeois trojan horse
dusted off, trotted out;
the newest "enemy of the month",
thriving any town is lost
conquered divided.
Squandered the morn
Afternoon, blown off
Wait! ~ ls this day my last?

Funny huh?… it’s the future of comedy
A strange thing just happened, I woke up dead
Was on my way to the promised land ahead
Angels were singing
To my jammies, was clinging
Then the alarm went off and I jumped out of bed
Traveling the mountains of Disneyland
Much higher than those found in Ireland
When you’re drinking ale
It’s like reading braille
And doesn't much matter what car you're in
When I Woke Up
When I woke up after going to bed
Would I be in a State which is red
Or have been blue
In my flag I knew;
To hear another politician I do dread.

A strange thing just happened, I woke up dead
Was winging my way to the promised land up ahead
Angels were singing
To my jammies, was clinging
Then the alarm went off and I jumped out of bed
Today I woke up!
I woke up!
I woke up!
Yes, I woke up.
I was brought back to reality.
Reality?
Whats reality?
Oh reality is a life full of pain,
and full of joy.
Reality is . . . bittersweet.
This my friend's look, fresh of one
Charmed, and far away.
This my own wishful thinking
Which now has drawn in!
Piece by piece, glassy-sparkly;
Fragments of a dream.
Left me this picture to form;
Future lover's norm!
When I woke up today the first thing I did was cry
because I had slept so long that there was nothing left of my previous high.
So before I can start or move on with my day,
I must first stab my pain and chase it all away.
