When In Rome
Science is religion, in a fireproof beaker.

And so vice versa, chirps the paradise seeker....

Sunset To Sunrise
A thousand miles away from home
The saying goes when in Rome
I could never run from my roots
Achiever's acknowledge attributes
From sun set to sunrise
I'll continue to build my enterprise
Came up so they could come down
Now that I'm up they come around
Look at my feet
Empty beer cans on the ground...

How Could I Ascend
Anger and hatred begin to breed
Finding myself in a world of greed
Strong natured filled with pride
Finding it hard to spill what's inside
Chasing my eternal home
While when in Rome
Seeing all that's corrupt
How could I hope to move up
Give up on myself downward I descend
Only when I'm could I hope to ascend...

Premium Member What My Father Told Me
If you don't have anything nice to say,
     then don't say anything...

Keep your nose out of other people's business...

Don't go where you're not wanted...

When in Rome, do as the Romans do...

"On time" means ten minutes early...

Everything in moderation...

These echoes, discs spinning in my head, linger long...

If only I had listened to what my father told me......

The Country Music Hall of Fame
A country music fan is not
A title I would claim
And yet today I visited
Its well-known Hall of Fame.

For here I am in Nashville,
In the south and far from home,
But I believe in following
That adage, "When in Rome..."

Surprisingly, I much enjoyed
The various displays.
The folks that made it happen sure
Deserve a lot of praise.

Though lots of boots, guitars and hats
Belonged to I don't know,
Still, I loved this fine museum
And think everyone should go!...

Do what the Romans do,
Do what, to who.
If you are on holiday in Rome,
A long way from home,
Embrace their culture.
And leave all else alone.

You will enjoy your visit more,
When you find out what's in store.
Opportunities abound,
In this foreign land.
Do what the Romans do,
Explore and relish all that's new.

Look and learn as you explore,
People and situations you have not seen before.
Don't make comparisons when you are in Rome.
Do what the Romans do,
Or stay at home....
