what a weird sculpture
called them on cell phone
were alive at home alone
what we expected

Featherbacks sliding through the air
trailing on the wind,
waiting for that carrion scent
to adorn their nostrils

hop, skip, jump
tear a piece of flesh
flutter back and scarf it down.

a devil of a race

One Less Mosquito Bite Tomorrow
On her mantle of pain an evil vulture sits
His mosquito bites feeding off her grits
He drew blood from her heart
