Monocrostic (Birthday of Mhay R. De Villa)
Some novels are the whole Country
Or a city, a village, a house even being a villa
Or life or a part of a life
An event is a short story
And poetry
A feeling

Sade, you have stuck closer than a
Shadow
Your love is fairer than the scent of
Vanilla
My Caroline is not even close to my
Villa
My trophy is greater than the valued
Manilla
Sade you alone rock and lighten my
World.

VANISHED VITALITY
Vibrant villa then, uninhabited now stands squalid with locked rusted gate

Some say that he was the "Robin Hood" for the poor in Old Mexico
Others say he was a tequila drinking horse thief, murderer to boot
One night on my great grand father's ranch in New Mexico, Villa stole their horses
Form:
Priscilla - alone in her villa
Was visited by a guerrilla
Although she was frail
She fought tooth and nail
To protect her bean of vanilla*
* My daughter asked me to send
her some fresh Hawaiian vanilla
beans; talk about sticker shock!
yonder is a flaming red, vintage corolla
basking in the sun in the yard of this villa,
casting no shadow,
while by the window,
dances a burning bush, blazing bougainvillea !
There once was a woman named Camilla,
She wanted a castle but not a villa,
So she got a prince,
But he started to wince,
When she started to look more like Godzilla.

an unassuming stack of mellow brie
dark succulent grapes with a shine
two crystal goblets without water spots
large bottle of Chardonnay wine
he wants to take her off to a villa
Where he hopes to “make her mine”
his mother packs chicken and homemade bread.
She throws in two red roses. Say hello to Clementine.

laughing the background shoveling into the depth of my mind
drawing a blank but insistent I never forfeit to submission iron the idol tactic is weakness I allow it the visits there are many I am alone and I dare to compete
listen only to my 3rd person when sized up in seconds the army lone side of my villa put the napalm to the childrens feet
Away from Rome they drive two-hundred miles
Calabria is their destination.
A wedding at the villa; they’re all smiles!
It’s a time for joyous celebration.
On August twenty-second, guests shall see
a lady fair with her own “honey-poo,”
the union of two soul mates meant to be!
My wish is that their love stay strong and true.
