I loved jumping waves on our
family vacations to
random seashores in my youth.
Once in my early childhood,
it was sunny as we drove;
then when we got to the beach . . .
clouds collected; the sky wept.
Mars is such a long way off
Flying there could be quite tough
Let's set up intermediate stations
On each one take long vacations
If we ever get to Mars, then good
And if not ~ Well, that's Hollywood!
Waterfalls and beach balls
breakfast in bed with bear claws
Nothin I like better than a vacation
Paper work and people wastin my time
Ain't nothin I hate more than waitin in line
For that next vacation

are expensive times -
kids want entertaining
thank goodness for summer camps!
Travel and hotel costs rocket.
My kids get bored and start arguing -
I just can’t wait until term time begins!!!
When Summer her beauty displays
not short nights nor lengthy days
not vacations or tourist sights
not the festivals nor village fetes
not the wildlife nor abor foliates
but the garden I would suggest
all nature in flower,eye-catchingly dressed
the whistle of the midnight train
blows past my house each night
making me want to hitch a ride
on a car heading far from home
to see what life looks like on the

people are scared
a virus has spred
no cure or help anywhere
the world has fallen
our lives have ruined
no more thanksgiving
no more family gatherings
no more vacations
at home is where we stand
for as long as we can only hope
at home is where we're stuck and mope
A picture's worth a thousand words
memories in the palm of your hand
days in the park
vacations on a yacht
or amusement parks and sand
