Unrequited love
Love not returned the same way
My intensity
Not felt by your tender heart
Love is something you don’t know
golden earrings
too extravagant she said
turning back on love
announced intentions
pouring his heart out to her
she turn and fled
She
became
an echo
to another's
voice-
he,
in love
with himself
transformed by a
gaze.
Ekphrasis ECHO&NARCISSUS by Waterhouse
I gave you my all
the harsh moon cast its shadow
Silence filled the air
Love unrequited
eyes shed tearsdrops of fire
unable to stop
What is felt without end by one and is fleeting for the other, is sometimes contained in the mind, but can cause terrible pain in the heart.
They sat one across from the other
Neither could move closer nor further
She winked at Jack
And he winked back
Their unrequited love asunder
Cinderella dreamt of heights
of beauty in the city sights,
true love amongst the neon lights
away from the imagined slights
of unrequited love.
confused?
misplaced love,
unrequited love
new friends,
lost lovers
lost lovers,
old friends
when will this race end?
no one knows.
She whispered to Cupid
She whispered to Cupid;
"It pains me
For the 'unrequited love'
And even more painful
Because of 'betrayed in love' ... "
taste my pencil fingers.
can you taste the poem I wrote for you?
the poems I may still write?
why the sour look?
tastes like scat?
sorry wrong hand.
You don't owe me anything---
not installments of lost time,
not a diamond ring.
We take our chances
on romance. Is
unrequited love a crime?

All I hoped for from you, was you realizing the innocence
Of my love for you sooner. All I shall keep hoping for...
You sincerely realizing how heavy my heart has been since.
It seems not even your own God could answer my prayer,
Truth be told, he may have someone for you that is better.
Even after you have moved on, my love is still getting stronger.
The monster wanted love from the maiden
And gold that the townspeople paid him
When it came time to collect
Him the maiden did reject
To contain his wrath none could persuade him

As walking over blazing hot coals
Is the love that blooms suddenly
Deceiving the naive heart
Ensnaring fantasies
Weaved with the lies
Planted in mind
Waking from
The vain
Dream

Snow flakes dodge
Unrequited love beam

Display my affection in ways you can't comprehend;
Like hell, you can comprehend the ocean,
Its beauty comes in tenfolds,
maybe if you can't comprehend my fondness;
yours might come tenfolds?
My heart of flesh,
it still beats, but it's human...
Tired and broken...
I am therefore
a man of heart
spiritually broken since
that my ethereal heart
I was abducted...
for an unrequited love... !
Broken hearts,
Shattered dreams,
Souls in pieces,
Ripped at the seams.
Pointless battles,
Fought in vain,
Unrequited love,
Horrendous pain.
Hurtful words,
From a vicious mind,
This is life,
It can be unkind.
Whatever you mean to me
is nestled deep inside my spirit
Lips sealed, I'll never speak of it
not to you, nor any other soul;
Heart pumping soul-searing love,
unrequited and strong.
The Archer: branded in the skies
With fading beauty and mind’s rust,
Yet the light is far; the route unwise.
I climb on hope; cracked rungs hold true
But winds whip me into hurt dust—
Shamed! I rise to start my climb anew.

Do you despise me?
Every-time you look at me do you taste dirt in your mouth?
Do you fill yourself with rage at the mention of my name?
Or maybe it's just pity?
Because to you I am nothing more than an animal,
And you're the poacher.
