Until universities' unions

Unleashing unspeakable ugly urge...

Exam Revision
A constant murmur,
with bickering voices
and occasional shriek of glee.
All when I'm trying to revise,
down in the library.

[written in 1988 - do they still have libraries in universities?]...

Listen to poem:
from the cauldron of universities
budding philosophers
burgeoning idealists
determined to fix the world
of all its malice and corruption

Universities Today
Trashcans of intellectual waste
Crushers of recycled ‘truth’
Warehouses of stored lies
Slaughterhouses of unspoken dreams
Hiding behind Ivy walls
Covered with malicious intent

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2013)...

Millennial Academia
The tragedy within the new
  school of ‘thought’ ….

To know ‘about’ everything
  —while knowing naught

Where universities foster
  professorial demise

Poisoning the young
  —with their fantasy and lies

(Villanova Pennsylvania: May, 2016)...

Dying Legions
Training the enemy within,
  universities soldier on

Unchecked and unaccountable

They march to the beat of the
  government drum

Tearing us apart from the inside

While Rome burns
  —and Legionnaires die

(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2014)...

Schools of Life
You went to your universities
rehearsing your autobiographies
and
we are still as different as
chalk and cheese
I suppose you'll know
a chemical symbol
for those,
but
I wrote the writing to spend one more night in
her arms,
she left the light on to write me a love song
and
you don't need a degree for that....

Premium Member We Are Crisp Green Vines
We are crisp green vines looping and curling
Beautifying the dark red brick buildings
Of universities, decorating churches

Gardners revel in our natural sharpness
Adorning planters, baskets and planters
Bringing verdant green plant to life

We are the ivy brigade
Prancing our purity and freshness
In spring and summer...

Once Were
Once were dinners a'deux, you see,
Was it only a few months, or a century?
Once were schools abuzz with kids,
Teachers agog to see what did they did,
Once were universities,
Alive with youthful dreams, indeed,
Once were pubs with beers,
Once were football here,
These are viral times, my dears,
Once were bushfires too,
A horror story for me and you,
Yes, Stephen King wrote this year,
Once were Oz fun times, not fears!...

Premium Member Naked Robbery
Classes on tranny and queer diversity
    universities reek of perversity

  Discrimination abounds all around
save if your skin's black or brown

  Tuition hikes obscene, naked robbery
flaunt luxury dorms and diners, effete snobbery

Not a smidgen on learning or teaching in glittering reports
just facilities upgrades, data analytics in sports

Grade inflation boosts illiteracy ever higher
agree or disagree ~ at least I'm no liar...

Being Female In Afghanistan
Imagine being female
In a Taliban regime,
Where equal rights do not exist,
Except when women dream.

Shariah law has taken hold,
With floggings taking place
For girls or women who have dared
To show the world their face.

Schools and universities
Say females can’t attend
And there’s no indication that
These rules will ever end.

In life, our path’s determined
Partly by the place we’re born.
For women in Afghanistan,
Their chances we must mourn....

I thought you were dead
   but then I read
your name in the alumni news.
Still hanging 'round the universities, I see,
   harvesting young women
   whose fathers had opinions.
As for me,
   I don't peruse the papers any more;
factorial rotations are the kind of
   game you liked to play.
I pull the weeds, I sweep
the path and climb the stairs.
   I tie back long vines
   of ridiculously red tomatoes.
And you're not dead?
   Why that's okay; me too....

Crazy World
Crazy World

It’s funny how
The universities are still in business
Of producing graduates
That speak funny English
And hardly make invention
And the stock market falls
Down street tumbles
That lets people buy
And make profit
Like grandpa used to say,
True intellectualism died
In the year 1929
With the rise in acumen inflation
It was then that
This Federal Reserve of Ignorance
The true villain of this quandary
Traces its genesis
Hope that explains succinct
This universal impotence...

On Satan's Ground
Snake compliments the sliding dirt
Slithers the circumference of the Earth
Property of Satan for what it's worth
Young Socialists anesthetized from birth
Don't believe in the evil one
Kept numb for their own protection
Dumb-ed down by universities
Thinking is the enemy, a sin to Satan
Don't worry about tomorrow
A certain organ will do everything for you
Money is no object but women are
Members are meant to be impaled
Eventually Lucifer must be satisfied
Where men have failed...
