Being Female In Afghanistan

Imagine being female In a Taliban regime, Where equal rights do not exist, Except when women dream. Shariah law has taken hold, With floggings taking place For girls or women who have dared To show the world their face. Schools and universities Say females can’t attend And there’s no indication that These rules will ever end. In life, our path’s determined Partly by the place we’re born. For women in Afghanistan, Their chances we must mourn.

Heartfelt piece. It is so unbelievable these tyrants can get away with what they do to these beautiful souls. I hope they realize the world detest their treatment of women and change their ways. We can only hope Ilene. Thanks for sharing...

It is such a pity that women fall victims to fundamentalism. As you well said, Ilene, these girls are losing their rights and dreams. It is a known fact that bad leaders benefit from having uneducated people. ~ Regards // paul

And after 19 years of doors opening for women there, this crushes so many millions of hopes for millions of women. No exaggeration there ... And Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris will not lift a finger to help, of course, esp. after abandoning the country to the Satanic Taliban in our military's disgraceful withdrawal... And so it goes in our wonderful world.
