On the Year's Last Day
unspoken words linger
unfinished conversations whisper
soft gray clouds
veil sullen skies
a day of calm
anticipates a storm

A man with an unbearable need
looked for a urinal with greatest of speed.
And what a display of repeated foul words
when he found one but his pants were on backwards!

Whirlwind
Whirlwind terror
Away to face the eternal.
Loved by family and friends but
Lost to us now.
Always remembered, taken too quick.
Clever fox left unfinished business
Ending life's journey too soon....

What If
What if the sun was to not rise
What if the world would not turn
What if today was our last
Would you have regrets
Would you have unfinished business
What if you had one day left
How would you finish...

At Peace -Unfinished-Business-
At peace

When i'm gone
Bury me in the forrest
Where i can feel the Earth
Where i can feel myself

Plant a tree as my tombstone
So i can grow to touch the sky
Let the leaves blanket me
For the long winter night...

Patiently
PATIENTLY

there is unfinished business in my dreams
there is much longing without sleep
i'm always late
but still you wait
there is unfinished business in my dreams
and this is the ecstasy of a poem unwritten...

Autumn Razors
Every Autumn you come to me

Like a haunting ghost

The vision is surreal

But the deep scar is bleeding

The deeper the cut opens

The pain radiates through my breath

You will forever be my unfinished business.

Unfinished Business
He rose
She watched
He paused
She gazed
He twitched
She sighed
He packed
She froze
He waited
She turned
He glanced
She shivered
He moved
She whispered
He paced
She sobbed
He freaked
She called
He frowned
She pleaded
He kissed
She wept
He turned
She knew
He left...

So many things I'd like to say
I'll save them for some other day
You know the way I think towards you
It hasn't changed, the bird's still blue
And though not mentioned anymore
The shelves are stocked inside my store
Provisions for the heart await
They have no expiration date...

The Drums
Thump, thump, thump.
Beware the beating of the drums,
Soon after, death is sure to come.
The Reaper is on his way,
This is not your lucky day.
There is no where to run,
The Reaper leaves no where to hide.
Unfinished business is no concern of his.
Count your blessing, lay all your sins aside.
Beware the beating of the drums,
Because that's when the Reaper comes.
Thump, thump, thump.......

Choices Between Life Or Death
Choices Between Life Or Death
Lost in between death and life,
Swirling blackness,
I can’t feel anything,
I can’t decide,
On whether to die or live,
I have a choice,
But where should I go,
So much unfinished business,
So much undone,
So much spoken,
Yet nothing has been said,
I don’t know if I should save myself,
Or let them all rejoice,
I’m stuck between life and death,
And I have to make a hard choice....

Ashes and Aftermath
after painting the town,
there is an odor in the air
untouched and reeking of
uh oh

unfinished business can
always break through
the smokescreen
substitute

when the spike is thrown
back in the air, where it
lands is where life left
its bullhorn

the peaceful dream excursion
is over, and the acidic bookmark
is tossed back in the solution
for another time when an escape
from the norm is needfully needed...

Limbo Cake
Limbo Cake

When you die before your time you go to Limbo
A place for unborn and innocent souls
A happy zone where the unknown play and wait
Unfinished business and Birth Days are postponed
There is no paper
Golden pens are in supply
To write messages on your heart
Of a life not lived and stories of what could have been
One day God will come again and take you
Until that time
You continue waiting
For your Birth Day cake...

Walk Through Walls
I’m not an angel
Or a demon
Just a ghost from your past
I’m not leaving
We have unfinished business
That I just can’t put to rest
I still say, “I love you”
But it’s only a whisper in the wind
That you can only hear if you really listen
But we both know you’re not good at that
So I walk through walls to get to you
You just can’t see I’m there
Or at least you pretend not to
You have your reasons
Though those reasons may not be clear...

Not Sure Where This Went But Fab Rick Was Somewhere In the Mix
I was going to swap my brain for another
but then i changed my mind
thought i seen a bus
but that was just unfinished business
U something S has come between
Feel that your skin

If crows
killed in a group
would that be a murderous murder of crows
i've always liked the sheen atop the black oil
are you comfortable sat in
cottoned on yet
polly was taken esterday
vas can swap
i will gently crepe on by
hidden by da mask...

Why Would Connor Commit Suicide
Now, why would Connor commit suicide:
Life's unfinished business wave aside?
Crude deaths had never stopped time and tide;
One would have to Grave gone, no pride...

Connor was only a bit curious,
After what he had heard from Julius,
To find out if it was injurious:
If men's claims weren't, after all, spurious?

Now, should that make comrades furious:
The whole saga take much serious?
Oh! where had he read all about it:
"Safe ways to Naked wires visit"?...

Memory
I am not angry over growing old , lost in the sea of grass,
what started off as a new bubbling spring has carved it's line's on my face.
It's not the trauma I have endured that has robbed me of my
childhood memories or the friends we all had growing up.

Worried that I have unfinished business here, forced as a ghost
to wander across Stormy seas.
Money is grace on a smooth face every one sees on t.v.
If forced into the chair in the courtroom, I cannot remember why....

Unfinished Business
In this maddening heat
      of the prizefight
where ferocity reigns and
      might is right,
the shrewder one may yet
      triumph tonight.

For even the best can be
      at his worst
and the last can still
      outlast the first,
but either way it goes,
      egos burn and burst.

Victor and vanquished
     will stay remorseless;
they'll fight again till
     they'll be both lifeless;
for to fight and win is an
     unfinished business !...
