A Not So Original Monoku - unchallenged
Yeah! But the one that got away was this big.

The shorter the sentence
the greater the impact
Its focus unchallenged
—its meaning refined
(Dreamsleep: August, 2022)
TIME
Mantled with the cloak of
Time
Weaved by the hours’
Hands,
Man strangles to escape
Mortality’s embrace
But all his efforts
In no AVAIL:
The law of
Fate
Unchallenged remains!

I wear a beard of aging, upon a cliff-face chin
A year has passed and grown its hairs out from my mottled skin
Mistakes sit there unchallenged, to each fibre clings a sin
Yet despite my facial mask of age the clubs won’t let me in
Relishing on sour foods left over night
Grains only fit for the husbandry
Sucking the unrefined milk after a cow’s fight
Generating the most unhygienic dairy
Diseases are thriving with unchallenged might
So everyone is a victim of the gory
A sigh
of memory
Slips past
my lips
Unchallenged...
A weathered
acceptance...
Of today's
reality
remains...
But hours
of love...
Long remembered...
continues
Dancing in
shadows
Across my
darkening window...
You are here again...
The butterfly is full of wonder
To see the world from near and far
He has a heart as rolling thunder
Blazed like the evening's brightest star
He likes to roam in kingdoms swaying
Like cracked singers' fearless praying
As air’s unchallenged superstar
Architectural terror
Built by masons
With no squares
No preparation
Or foundation
A carbon disaster
Of weathered
Crumbling plaster
Time chuckles
Unchallenged
Supports buckle
Falling faster

A call unexpected
A voice so bold
A speech so engaging
Sizzled, I was sizzled
An intellectual
An unchallenged persona
An uninhibited character
Sizzled, I was sizzled
I raised my eyebrow
I stopped my painting
I smiled, ever so slowly...
Sizzled, I was sizzled
Sunlight washes the building side: Beams muted by the morning chill.
Spring her breath moist sweet and quite still.
Heralds carpet the ground gaudy and upright.
Unchallenged by giants stirring in new light.
The year no longer new: The earth gathering pace.
Marshall your forces my friend begun has the race.
Forgive the beastliness
As born with, earth-sired;
Charges, unchallenged, thereaft
Conditioned, earth-mired.
Woman, soft eyed, soft voiced
Know this, pitieously
What each such, a man at heart
Seeks out, needily.
Against these advances
Appeals to soothe, tame
Resistless, have worship-dropped
Gods of warring fame!
in a single heartbeat
with your gentle smile
you crossed my void
smashing down
any thought of retreat
opening my heart
to your effortless intrusion
trusting you past all reason
wanting you holding you
beyond all survival
suddenly needing
this moment
with only you
unchallenged daring
completely
and forever true

Within my soul, a yearning a need for something new. I am an artist, but felt stagnant, unchallenged. It must be something creative, something to fill my heart with joy. Maybe poetry? Why not? Would it hurt to try one?
an emptiness
sought hobby to inspire
found prancing words

The lack of common sense
makes nonsense easy,
things that should make sense,
slip through, unchallenged.
Yet common sense itself
makes the absurd unbearable,
forcing logic upon the illogical,
struggling to grasp the uncommon.
To live without it
is to drift through chaos,
unbothered by contradiction.
To live with it
is to wrestle with reason,
forever questioning the senseless.
Is she Artemis when she shoots, going back to her roots? Or Aphrodite when men fall without shoots, or benevolent Athena when she steps on the field, prepared for war in her boots. Unequaled and unchallenged, dominance assure with Nike carrying her on wings victory, a born winner without a spinner; chance is not her inner. She is Alex Morgan, original and free; All the things women strive to be.
While adults are bound by the obligation of work
The children get caught in the routine of school
All are engaged through the days of the work week
To earn a living or prepare for the work life ahead
After the weekend of rest, fun, and labour
The body is forced back into that same routine
Obeying the sequence of those who created the order
Made to ensure unchallenged control of humans
Swadling encrypt the contrarious slopes of a mired
entity coursed veinous stammer spurts bled
across a court of an unchallenged befitted named
as valor cornered the bleached to be razed
spirits encapsulate the branded sole championed
glory dazed betwixt ears of an abandoned
waning light fills purple sighs 'ill eve succumbed
bitterness spilt the downtrodden weighed
hung kicked a life out of bound the final scored
Will it ever end?
Will ways converge and begin to mend
Will the closeness that once was
Ever be again?
With truths remain untold
And will fears continue to go unchallenged
Will ill placed unnecessary guards stand?
While that which is strong and innocence
Become not so?
Will one and one ever make two?
Will the hand that has been over extend
Ever retract intertwined?
Will this and so much more go on
While everything else wanes away?
another day passes
light fading
darkness slowly
pushing the last rays
beyond the orbs curve
and night arrives
unchallenged
warmth and heat
remain
undminished
yet longly lingering
sightless shimmering
absent the sun
disappeared
a lightly blowing
breeze gently
stirs the grass
the leaves
passing without
judgement or
comment
appearing in reverse
tomorrow
will come
old or new
repeated ritual
does what it does
as is replaces was
