I salute you – unappreciated lower extremity
Made to carry gobs of weight – forced into small high places
I free you – to long walks on cool sandy beaches

Always believe caring…devotedly, eternally, fearlessly, graciously, humbly, incarnationally… joyously knits love more neatly on people’s qualms- releasing something truly unappreciated: very worthy xenodochial yearning zeal....

There Is a Poem
There is a poem
Dangling,
Unappreciated,
Just hanging there.

On our November,
A Thanking,
Loving,
Pumpkin.

Perhaps poor poetry;

But scrumptiously odiferous,
Dangling
Unappreciated,
But hanging there today anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving!....

Unstoppable
Though sometimes unappreciated
And always underrated
We have created a family
Unlike any other
We are strong, fast, and powerful
We fly high and light
We are quick-footed
With jigs, wigs, and makeup
Glitter, fake tan, and sock glue
We are unstoppable...

The Unappreciated Poet of the World
There are many ways to say it,
but shat is so vital for the thriving
of all life.

The dung beetle is the hard-working poet
of the world.

Every day it writes its labor of love
upon the hot sands,

Yet no one notices,
and nobody gives a shat anyway....

My Perfect Life
Fairy tales don't exist
Is what they tell us as little black girls
We go to school
Listen to mom and dad
Grow up and have a child
Give them everything you have
To feel unappreciated
Only to try your best
For nobody to understand
A perfect life
Just
Does not
Exist...

Deceit
There is often a lie behind 'I didn't mean it'
A cruel intention in the giving of a gift,
A selfish motive behind a compliment,
 A betrayal in a kiss.
There are often truths discovered in fiction,
Goodness accomplished in a white lie,
And usually the worth of a friend unappreciated
 Until after they die.

Unappreciated
How do I feel inside, really?
Avenging your needs, silly?
I don’t gotta kill to be at ease,
But a little pain delivered may appease.
Sometimes I’m mating with confusion
Right or wrong, is it all a delusion?
Potential I have but can they see,
And feel this heat blazing in me,
No, the answer is no, a to letter
Unappreciation is my medicine, better?...

Wintersweet
Near the broken bridge outside the post station,
Unappreciated, a wintersweet blooms lonely.
Cast by the gloomy dusk in isolation,
It's ravaged by the wind and rain ruthlessly.
Without intention to bloom first in spring lushed,
It’s envied by many a flower.
Even if the blossoms fall and are ground to dust,
Their fragrance lingers in the world forever.

Silent hours of deepest night Awake pondering creation Age has me salient of fact We are transitory creatures. Endless youthful years Quite unappreciated Oblivious to impermanence Carefree and careless. Maturity an insidious process Step by step awareness grows Innocence overtaken by age Ruminating in night's silent hours.

She has worn out her welcome, that,
Like an old, scuffed-up welcome mat
So much poorly written verse,
It could not possibly get any worse
I suspect she probably knows it, too,
That she is wearing thin as an old shoe
So, it is time that she put it to rest
Like any most unappreciated guest,
And take up another hobby of sort
For at poetry, she is coming up short.

Premium Member Love and Happy Birthday- Robert Lindley

You stood by me through thick and thin.
In days when few comments, were coming in.

You saw in me a poet, possible.
That belief from you, made things, accessible.

Grand talent you are, so very unappreciated.
For you, I wish the best, so poetically educated.

Happy Birthday special friend.
Your fine, classical poetry I do commend!

With love and best wishes,
Panagiota

Feeling Unappreciated
Why is it no matter
how hard I try, you're
never satisfied.

I always try to do
my best to keep
you happy...

But lately things
between us ain't
going right, and
I've run out of
options.

Is it that you just
want to use me,
and play with my
heart...

Knowing I'm vulnerable,
because I love you so
much...

Cause if that what you
want, then this is the end
for us.

Pawpaws
Autumn’s rumor
is spread in turning trees,
revealed like stains
on hems
of far Missouri hills.

Few search
or care or know
your soft fruit—
few dare taste
tart sweetness—
trouble
to spoon aside
infestations
of seeds.

Like seasons,
they go to waste—
not savored,
unused, unappreciated—
burled relatives,
overripe pawpaws
past remembering,
lingering
as age spots of early fog
on winter’s
stern harvest....

Breathing
I wrote about love like I knew it,
But with time my love has abandoned me.
Left cold and unappreciated, I still claim to
Know the words I wrote were true.
Love given but not received is still love indeed, but
Loving another does not make them love you.
Still, I experienced the pains, the blessings and
The bliss love brings. But to love,
And to be in love are two separate things completely.
Like breathing was easy....

Tantamount
To you I'm a number
A census head count
A baseline, statistic
Not special
Tantamount
A blip on a radar
A bump in the road
I'm just human traffic
A bipedal drone
I'm only a age range
A line on a graph
A check with a Bic pen
A dot on a map
I want you see me
Know who I am
That I breathe,
That I'm tangible
Just touch me again
Show me you want me
Tell me I count
Not one of the masses
Not common
Tantamount...
