Awake pondering creation
Age has me salient of fact
We are transitory creatures.
Endless youthful years
Quite unappreciated
Oblivious to impermanence
Carefree and careless.
Maturity an insidious process
Step by step awareness grows
Innocence overtaken by age
Ruminating in night's silent hours.
