The boughs are laden with snow.
Winter tableau is painted.
Nature played overnight trick,
Turning green to white.
An abstract trick of the eyes,
I thought I saw you again.
A word in my mouth just dies,
frozen by what might have been.
But, You Know:

O'
TRIX!
and fear of the unknown, obviously.

I often forget how to spell a word, so I apply this little trick;
I'll change the entire structure of the sentence to avoid using it.
Trick a toad to tread
a taut rope, A hippo to
hop a hula hoop!
"Haiku#1" contest by Poet Destroyer A
A secretary who submits
To a job with side benefits
Soon tires of horseplay
And calls it a day
With chocolate-fudge banana splits
Trick or treat, sugar's sweet...
don't forget to brush your teeth!
If you don't, you'll soon care...
when the dentist pokes in there!
In the shifting air
the sweet scent of candy corn
candle wax burning
All doors are open
an ancient mystery lives
I bask in its glow
Caressa Bulge came to our town
And looked superb in her nightgown
But to her surprise
A bulge did arise
Springing out as a tattooed clown
We recently lost my Grandpa
It took a toll on my Grandma
she took to the bottle
an unstable waddle
tripped on him hiding – such chutzpah!
The gymnast taking trash out back
As a joke gave the girl no slack
In a quick blitz
He did the splits
Then yelled, "I think I tore my sack!"
You can teach an old Dog a new trick
But
The Dog will do its old tricks more
Because
It knows them better

Just picture the gruesome scene
On the night of Halloween
When ghosts and ghouls do rule
With spirits free from school
And every face is green
I once had a ghost who came by
It didn't just stop to say "Hi!"
It said "Give me a treat"
From under it's sheet
But I wondered . . . was it a girl or a guy?
The Pope said he's sorry they lost
Some children who would not be bossed
Since those who refused
Were raped and abused
But the Pope had his fingers crossed
its a night of fun
where kids run
with a can
in hand
its part of this dream
get money and ice cream
as they go the beat
its call
HALLOWEEN
TRICK A TREAT
Came to my door, a horrible ghost
Looking on it I was scared almost
To bring a treat, I went in
On return, it was not seen
The ghost was hiding behind the post
Candles in the cake
Remember you about age
While blowing out the
Trick candles that seem to give
Some fun for a little while

There was no trick or treating tonight
The weather had made it too light
So they went to a show
Where the dead tend to go
Which gave them much more of a fright!
we did something not too hard
put a scarecrow in the yard
now when kids trick or treat
theyll likely skip our street
or try my wifes stewed swiss chard.
Children are out for 'trick or treating'
Collect dollars for treats and eating
They would go to canteen
on the next of Halloween
Eating snacks they would be greeting
You complained, “Don’t come over today -
My throat’s sore, I’m tired, and achy.”
So why are you nude,
In bed with some dude?
If you’re going to lie, pull down the shades!
Some teens went trick-or-treating for fun
Not thinking they would have to run
Night creatures attacked
Turning them into smacked
They were toppings on a giant honeybun
Trick or treat give me anything to eat
perhaps an apple with two little feet ?
maybe some pasta that I can reheat ?
anything , anything, but buckwheat !
Finally dusk comes
The bound excitement breaks free
The ghouls and goblins
Make it to doors of neighbors
‘Trick or treat’ has surely come
