In time
we are all travellers
in one way or another
either born losers,
or born winners;
however, not that easy to claim
we are not sinners

I wonder where messages go,
like travellers lost in the snow,
all night and all day,
they're sent and they stray,
so did you just get my hello?

They still label us as gipsies and tinkers
but it is them with the blinkers
everyone is a migrant
and our culture is vibrant
let us not forget about Treblinka

Limerick
Winter morning, darkness clings with angelic might
Its moonlight respendently glows
Guiding wayward travellers safely home
Sunlight, rested, ready, Its brethren orb weary
Hands dutifully the baton
Solar strength summoned, bringing comfort home

Transient home full of visitors!
A highway flooded by travellers!
A major platform staged by performers!
Nobody owns it
Nobody overstays their welcome
It is the "No man's Life"
Just do your best, make the most of it with little or no regrets!!!!

Lyric
The mountain stands.
so tall and high.
Silhouetted by the morning sky.
Children laugh.
Children play.
Travellers go on their way.
Clouds gather at its peak .
Golden treasure is what they seek.
As it moves at the dawn.
The glorious sun and the mountain.
Below.

I asked all the wrong people
To love me
To cherish me
For they were only travellers
And stopped at a garden like me
Intrigued by my flowers
And I loved them all equally
Not knowing,
They will just pluck my flowers
And leave me more broken
Than I already was

I do not know?
I shift my mind
through the wild trajectories
of life
I often feel I have turned the corner
refusing to the titterings of despair
I cannot hold back the spring
the snowman is no more
I must welcome summer
and hear the voices chattering
of travellers tales
from their dust bone journeys

They say,
“If marriage is a boat,
then many of us are in the same boat!”
Well, who steers the ship?
Don’t mention it is “Fate”,
Then, in case of evacuation
all travellers will need
a huge siphon or gate,
In that case,
it will be a common concern
yes, but
what if the fate sits on its stern?

tracing lines on the syntax
grammar cascades down resonant folds
hand over hand
mishandled hands lost grip on the handholds
travelling through time diagonally and sideways
found by no one for infinity of days
lost for never
yet at the same time always
GONE

"A camel is an animal which all of us should thank,
if we were desert travellers far from a water tank"
This was dictated by my 95 year old mother, from her childhood in the 1930's. I am trying to find the rest of the poem, but my searches have come up blank!
If anyone knows this poem, I would love to hear from you.

birth and death bookend our lives
how we spent intervening years at our disposal
might be shaped along the way
by our experiences
what importance we place on each incident
thoughts we encountered
through each word
are united with our fellow travellers
or repelled
cultivating a garden
of weeds
or flowers
life is a garden

Despise the tendrils as they wrap my face
Sunlight spills across the weeping grass
Forgetting eyes that dimly stand as witness
The untouched line that offers travellers hope
And laughs
always beyond their reach
The bastard sun that tilts its whim
And keeps me here once more
Dreaming of the no tomorrow
while today reeks its wraith

NIGHT ARRIVES.
Night arrives at the sunset
Bringing relief to tortured souls
Lost travellers on life’s journey
Tired like wounded feebled folks.
It sends its physician, the sleep
To enchant sufferings into a lull
Soothing embalming painful stripes
There releasing souls into easeful zest.
And then
Beyond cure into some temporary rest

Lyric
baby, Baby
Love
me maybe
save me
baby
baby, baby
lonely
lady
Baby
baby
no ones baby
baby
I
miss that greatly
travellers
of my heart
tread
safely
Baby
baby
means nothing lately
Baby
baby
Don’t let my strength
escape me, from the damage
that
was baby
baby, baby
blatant disregard
for your baby
Now I will
never trust
again
to be
anyone’s
baby

The Travellers Promise
I will wander from the path
enter the wild wood
deliberate in that great unknown
Not ever look back
draw my fingers over kind bark
inhale a thousand things
and thread there lightly
in silent respect
Listening carefully
to the breath, the song of the wind
I will fear no shadows
or long forgotten histories
nor change my way
nor alter course
nor regret

Starship Coffee Shop
Passengers in the Starship Coffee Shop
Each seated in their alloted place.
Every table a local perturbation
In the fabric of time and space
In relative isolation the travellers
Move silently through hyperspace.
Each hand held cell phone a universe,
A worm hole to another place.

Weekend Commute
I dissolved into grey crowds
Flooding Londons underground,
Loosing my identity in the flow,
Swimming with currents,
Counter cultural, guttural,
Warmed by the sight,
Of many travellers,
Taking their luggage,
For constitutional walks.

The autumn leaves scattered along the road
Draw the eyes to a misty foggy night
Blurred in the shadows a scary abode
Too misty for travellers in the night
Before the daybreak when the mist explodes
Just when thickness surrounds wrapping so tight
There comes forth a gallant horseman to lead
Mortality freed, immortality concede
