a spicy delight
tantalizing my taste buds
Szechuan pepper
lighting a fire
on my tongue

Detritus alleyway
A destitute
Blinkered soul
Regurgitating
Crippling, clichéd
Thoughts grounded
With a loaded tongue.
You’ve got something on you’re tongue Claire
You don’t need bling cause you look fair
And one more thing do brush your hair
The sound of a good poem;
words that roll over the tongue
fall into the ear
ricochet off the mind
and berth at the heart.
